I like match 3 games a lot. Everyone has different things that they like or look for in a game. For me, I want the option of no timer and no limited moves. I want to enjoy myself -- not be harassed. I also want to be able to make moves immediately, especially while things are automatically falling. I like different challenges (drop something, collect a certain number, etc). This game has everything I like in it. I would purchase it if it weren't for the subject matter. If I have to interact with witches, demons, gods, etc, then the game is not for me. A similar game that involves science fiction, steampunk, non-occult storytelling, and the like are most welcome.
This is an extremely good chain match 3. It's quite different from every other one that I've played (and I've played a lot of them, since it's one of the types of games that I really enjoy). There's tons of strategy and different things to have to take care of before you complete the level. Lots of 'helper' things that are easy to get, but need thinking to deploy effectively. I especially like that when you click on a color, all the tiles with that color are highlighted. It may not seem like a big thing, but you'll see how much that makes finding the right moves fun rather than tedious, as some match-3's can be. I was surprised (and delighted) to learn that I could even eliminate only 2 of the same color, which made creating larger chains possible.
Be sure to read the short instructions at the ? on top. I referred back to them often as I was strategizing, until I had them in my memory. Nothing complicated; simple and useful. The eye at the top is also an excellent feature.
I used the first level to try things out so I could get a feel of the range of things to do. At the end of the level, I already made up my mind to purchase it.

...and now that I've played for awhile, I can definitively say that this is one of the very best of its kind. If you're a real fan of this type of game -- as I am -- and not just passing through, you will love it. It's a bit different, which is good in general, and the differences are all welcome. I highly recommend getting past the trial hour and purchasing this great game.
I've been playing this type of game for years. I love them, but only if they are totally logic-based. This is not a game that you play for a story line. It always frustrates me when there IS a story line, and I just want to get on with the puzzles. Story lines are great for hidden pictures, etc, but just waste time in puzzle games.
I always do the tutorials, even though I know exactly how to play this type of game, because the designer may have added something new or changed something that I'd be happy to know about. If one of the previous reviewers had done the same, they would have noticed that it was stated over and over again that this one is based solely on LOGIC. As far as the single color is concerned, I don't mind that at all. Some of the multi-color games annoy me because by the time you get to the last color, there's no figuring at all: whatever spaces are left will be that color.
So if you're just interested in playing puzzles, I recommend adding this to your games. You can decide for yourself if the number of puzzles offered is worth the cost for you.
I haven't played many levels yet, but I know I'm buying it. It's similar to Peggle, but much more fun because of the variety of moves and challenges. There's less chance, and lots more strategy. Storyline not needed for this type of game. Lots of people don't like music when they play a game, but I do, and I found myself moving as I played, so the style of music must have been appropriate for playing.
