I bought this game when it was originally released on BF. Deleted it because I found it too confusing. I recently replaced my old reliable Win 7 computer with a new touch screen with OS Win 10 Home. Difference? More current technology changed my opinion. I like this game. No such much a HO, more an adventure game. Hint is very helpful. Not simplistic. Objective is clear. Big file game but worth the space on your hard drive.
I recommend this game!

Everyone has different tastes. I rate this game above average overall. Some parts are much better than average. I think MH is trying to mix it up. It's not a fantasy and it's not an adventure game. Goal is crystal clear, who and why are members of one wealthy family being serially murdered. The shell that burps purple goo (there is an indicator letting you know when it should be consulted) helps you determine who is a suspect and why.
Transportable map, puzzles that were in line with the story (and not mind numbing), hints do direct you (but don't tell you what to do). Characters are drawn to look like real people and in parts live actors are used.
Try it for yourself before deciding that you don't like. That's what I did and it was the right decision. I liked this game.
I recommend this game!

This game plays like a thriller. Halloween accoutrements are in abundance but this doesn't limit the enjoyment factor the other 364 days of the year.
Well thought out, logical, helpful transporting map and clear instructions on mini-games.
Bottom left has 3 bubbles to show if morphs or collectibles are in the scene.
Very good strategy guide.
I recommend this game!

This game is very different. Troubling issue of mental illness. Developer deserves support for taking on this difficult subject.
This is no point and and click, hold your hand game. You must think, and sometimes it hurt my soul to think of a child in this situation.
Controls are very logical. Mini-games are woven into the story and not used as time wasters to extend the game play.
Collectibles are well blended and morphs are not obvious.
A truly adult game.
I recommend this game!

I'm only at the beginning of playing this great match 3 saga.
The original was very good. Runefall 2 fixed the weaknesses of the original version. It is not more of the same. Map is greatly improved. You can stop mid-level and save were you were (an option not available in the original). The characters are a little snarky in a tongue-in-cheek way (I liked it but you can skip the dialog). Every level seems to have additional map quests which look a lot like the original Runefall. You don't need to have played the original to enjoy the new and improved Runefall 2. I love HO's but this is a good game to use to recover from the brain drain of HO's.
I recommend this game!

I delayed playing this game because I felt confident that it would be good. I play many HO's and after a few duds, I like to be sure I have a good game to play. So after a few disappointments I finally played this game.
Amazingly good. Only flaw was the voice acting of the characters sounded like Americans trying to affect a French accent.
Still a 5 star game. Collectables are not always easy to spot, Morphs in HO's not so easy to detect, mini-games fit well into the story.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game right when it was released. I delayed playing it because the 2 games before this were sacrilegious to the MCF legacy. What an excellent game! Challenging and shocking to the sensibilities just like the "older" MCF games. Graphics were top notch. Story was compelling. Mini-games were fun and melded well with the story. Morphs didn't stick out like a sore thumb. Lots of thought and care went into producing this game. A worthy addition to your MCF collection (and I have them all).
I recommend this game!

I have a large screen and even on a large wide screen, graphics were not crisp and sharp. Story was inconsistent and at times didn't comport with common sense. A hooked man apparition is on the loose and you take the slow course such that the heroine that alerted you, the paranormal detective, is placed in greater danger! This was an emergency situation, but many cliche tasks to do before you use your skills to help those in desperate need. I waited until the SE came out and used a coupon on it. Good choice for those coupons, not so much for the club price.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game right after it came out. Played it and didn't think much of it. I decided to reinstall it in honor of Halloween this year. Second time was a charm. Realistic and logical play. Makes you feel like you are a participant in the story.Very good SG. Collectibles and morphs.
I recommend this game!

I didn't hate it but I didn't enjoy playing this game. Bought it because same developer as Silver Tale.
Nowhere near the quality of Silver Tale. Repetitious. Your goal is to collect enough coins to build another castle. Timed or untimed (relaxed) modes. The leprechaun/dwarf had an annoying voice and he repeated the same 5 pat comments.
3 different mini-games: trace the icon, put gears in place, spot the difference. Time wasters.
I don't recommend this game.
