I rarely buy collector's editions, but Moai VI: Unexpected Guests Collector's Edition is one of the best values for my money that I have ever encountered on Big Fish. I am a huge fan of the series, and despite other reviewer's quibbles, this one is every good as, if not better than, all the previous games. It is a tribute to the developers that they continue to deliver such satisfying game play on a sixth outing. It is just challenging enough that you may have to replay some levels to earn gold, but not so difficult that it drives you crazy. I love the evolving story line, wonderful characters, and colorful graphics.
The Collector's Edition, which is a long game to begin with, includes 20 additional levels that are even more challenging than the first 45. Money well spent, in my opinion. I play a lot of time management games, and this series is just head and shoulders above the rest in terms of fun. As another reviewer said, it is what time management/strategy games should strive to be! I
A loving (and awesome) tribute to the early MCF games

If you loved the first four or five MCF games (Huntsville, Prime Suspects, Madame Fate, Ravenhearst) you will love this game. If you are a huge fan of the more recent MCF games, you probably won't. It's that simple. Many reviewers of the more recent games have complained about how the character of the games changed after Big Fish Studios stopped developing them in house (beginning with Fates Carnival). Well, folks, Eipix has done a really good job of paying homage to those old games, and I'm loving it. I hope Big Fish understood this would be a love it or hate it deal. For me, it is not only nostalgic, but really fun.
I know there are a lot of you out there who hate having to repeat hidden object scenes, and who hate timers. But for me, I kind of like it when I don't manage to finish on time, then get to blast through the scenes really fast on my second time through. I dunno, call me wacky. I also like the Rube Goldberg style puzzles and the crime computer, which are throwbacks to those old games.
I was beginning to think there would never be any more of these lighthearted, straight forward hidden object games. Color me happy!

I played this game from start to finish, all 100 levels, and I loved it. I played in the Challenge mode, which limits the number of moves you can make on each level. (There is also a relaxed mode.) As you move through the game, you accumulate "money" which allows you to buy extra moves. If you choose, you can also just replay the level without spending any of your hard-earned spooky coin. Replaying a level can be quite effective, because there is usually a sequence of moves that works best, at least at the beginning of a level.
But you will definitely need the money and the extra moves in the last 10 to 25 levels. I found it interesting and challenging without being impossible to complete, although I replayed some of those last levels many times. But the fun factor was very high for me.
The graphics are bright and attractive, there is just enough story to make it interesting, and the music is delightful.
