I was a beta tester for this, and couldn't wait for it to come out, which is unusual for me because I've got very bored of HOP games. It has a lot of originality in the way the HOPs are presented, and the graphics are witty, as is the storyline. It links together previous Ravenhearst games, bringing in characters from way back. I love the structure - rooms to investigate and then variation in puzzles each time you have to make a key to get to the next set of rooms. The developers have clearly put a lot of thought into making the format interesting and fun. Really enjoyable and entertaining.
I'm not sure if I was playing the same game as other reviewers. There was nothing medieval about it and no story line at all. The powerups window popped up randomly and I duly bought them, but then nothing happened at all and there were no instructions and no help. I played to the end of the trial to see if anything was going to happen, but generally found it totally soporific. So if you want a match 3 with a limited amount of difficulty and no discernible story that sends you to sleep, this is just the game for you!
A thrilling gem-matching adventure awaits those who dare to explore the jungle of the Aztecs, where untold treasure lies hidden deep within an ancient temple!
I was thrilled to see that there was a new Treasures of Montezuma, but this seems to be the kiddies version. The graphics lack the detail and and slick animation of the earlier ones, and some of the best elements are missing. It doesn't need a storyline, because the game progress should be gripping without it, like in the first four. I don't know what the developers were thinking of.
A late-night subway ride takes a bizarre turn into a mystical cemetery. You have been summoned by a strange entity to free the cemetery’s lost souls. Will you succeed, or is this the end of the line?
I really enjoyed playing this game. The colours were beautiful and the mini games well designed though not too challenging. Plenty to do and find and the puppy animation was really cute. The Zoo sequence was wonderful, and I would have liked to see more animals. Some of the hidden object artwork was a little difficult to distinguish and the artwork was variable, but all in all a great addition to the series.

Very good value for money - lots of levels and an amusing storyline keeps the interest going. Some levels are quite tricky but the CE walkthrough is helpful without completely spoiling the game. Animation is witty and well done. Really enjoyable and highly recommended.
