I've bought a shameful amount of games on BigFish because these hidden object type games with the other puzzles are my addiction. THIS one, was beyond my wildest expectations. The scenes are incredibly beautiful. The artwork is splendid, and done so carefully as to resemble actual ancient Egyptian jewelry, amulets, cartouches, dwellings, artifacts, foods, alchemy, and clothing. Though not said, the period represented is Tel el Amarna. The tie-in with the demons reminded me of the movie The Mummy. I love the puzzles in this particular game as well, very intriguing. I'll say that at first, I thought this game would be too easy because it starts out that way. But that wasn't the case, since it becomes more difficult as each scene is opened. If the makers of this game would add to this Egypt collection, I'd definitely buy it. Right now, I'm off to search out more Demon Hunter games.
I almost didn't buy this because of some reviews. The ad details convinced me to go ahead and give it a try. I'm glad I did because this is my sort of game. I can see why it doesn't appeal to everyone because of the dark themes and visuals from the 1930s to 1940s era. I happen to love furniture, clothing and jewelry from this time period, so the scenes and type of mystery appeal to me. There are some grammar errors, and I think the designers don't speak English as a first language. Also, the designers don't have experience with grocery shopping and cooking, lol. For example, there's a difference between a pumpkin and a gourd, and a radish and a turnip. But I found that amusing rather than annoying. There are so many scenes in this game, all of them intriguing. I didn't find anything easy about the game as others have mentioned. The objects weren't always easy to find. The other games within just require logical thinking. I believe two of the games withing it might have been easier than the rest. There's only a few games I'll play a second time later on. This is one of them. Love it!
The graphics are so beautiful and the game is fun. I want the bedroom! I want the antique jewelry and vanity table items in one of the HOGs. The scenes are interesting, spellbinding and relaxing. I love this game.
Have you ever played a game where you feel as if you’re right there within the scenes, even though you know it’s only graphics? That’s the way I felt throughout this game. I’ve had that same sensation with a few games, and it’s always made the experience that much more pleasurable. I found some of the scenes mysterious, and other times gruesome yet what would be expected at an archeological dig. The majority of the scenes and hidden object items were absolutely beautiful. There was one where we are to find fossils and artifacts that was simply incredible, my jaw nearly dropped and I found myself wishing for an entire game of this artwork. The dinosaurs, museum rooms and artifacts were stunning. I’ve noticed that some people didn’t care for this game, and I understand because sometimes a game that others like is just not for me. I mainly wanted to say that this game had so many likeable aspects for me. Oh my gosh, the musical themes. The haunting piano and violin tunes are perfect for the settings, and the sound effects are so realistic that twice, I looked outside my window because it sounded like someone was creeping up my porch steps. While I was in the top room in one section, it sounded like someone was moving things around at the other end of my home. I’ve never played a game where the sound effects could give that impression, with theater quality impact. I’ve bought a lot of games over the past decade (kind of embarrassed to say how many, lol. I’m addicted, but hey, no calories in games). I mainly review the ones that make a strong impression on me. This one receives an A+.
I'm addicted to BF games, and I enjoy most of them, so I continue the subscription. This particular game is one of my all time favorites. It's what I wish more could be like in terms of challenging puzzles, scenery, and story line. This one had as many or more challenge puzzles as it did hidden object scenes, and I love the mix. Even though I like most games, I complete some of the puzzles because I must to get to the next part. What I'm saying is sometimes the puzzles themselves seem too much like puzzles in every other game. The Heir's puzzles were creative and most of them were different that the type of thinking and logic required with other games. All the scenes, puzzles or HO were incredible. Another thing I liked was the many scenes. I love it when a game has a lot of different scenes and rooms. Thank you to whoever created this game.
I recommend this game!

I dislike Facebook style of games, and I avoid them like the plague. The storyline and graphics are beautiful, but I don't like the format. I've never given a game a review this low, and it's entirely because of the setup and format of the game, not the storyline or graphics. I'm a member because I like the type of games BigFish has always had. I understand keeping up with what is current, but not that is current will keep its appeal the way your other game formats have proven the test of time.
I'm surprised to see this has an overall 4 star rating from members. I've bought more games than I care to admit over the years, and when I find one I truly love, I look for more like it. I wish there were many games like this one. The dark mystery theme is appealing to me, and the characters were interesting. Some scenes weren't appropriate for young persons, and that is the only caution I would give. The scenery is beautiful, with Victorian era buildings, furnishings, clothing. There's fog and rain in some scenes, and intriguing HO sites and graphics. The rain actually sounded like it was really raining outside, whereas some games have rain that sounds so fake. The game playing was smooth in transition from scene to scene. The dialogue between the characters was well done, with some tongue-in-cheek humor people might miss if not paying close attention. I logged in to search for more games like this one. Here's hoping...
I recommend this game!

Of course, 5 stars. I'd give it 10 if I could. I selected this because it looked like a relaxing rather than tough game to play when I'm not feeling so good, or to tired for a hard challenge. Well, I found that I had 3 games in one, and such a different format than the usual HOG. This has become one of my favorites, which brings a bit of a problem for me. I have been searching to find other Murder She Wrote games, and I haven't found any. Please, give us more? Whoever makes this particular series, I will buy all of them, and recommend them to friends and family.
One of my favorite games. The scenes were breathtakingly beautiful, and the sound was relaxing. This game is wonderful for winter or Christmas time. It sets the right tone for a day or evening of pure soothing pleasure. Or for the hot summers when you'd like to be thinking about snow and winter wonder lands.
This is a beautiful and fascinating game for a person who likes a relaxing pastime to tune out the rest of the world. The music and visuals are excellent. I can't go into details without giving away too much information. In one of the bedrooms, the song playing is so hauntingly beautiful that I've replayed the game many times to reminisce. This game is spellbinding.
