The last two games I played were just so dull and monotonous so this was a real treat.. nice puzzles and a good variety of themes but the best bit was the storyline as it flowed beautifully through the adventure keeping you engaged. I do hope they make good sequels as this was well worth the purchase.
This is a long game which in some cases can be good but this one I found tedious and repetitive. Nothing of any real challenge other than the constant two and fro from the same places over and over.. in the end I just wanted to finish it so I could delete it.. waste of money in my opinion. I bought this game after reading great reviews but was bitterly disappointed.
Bought a few games this week many of which were a disappointment but not this. The reviews are right, this is a very good game which is nice and long but doesnt get boring. Some of the puzzles are a little simple and I think a few more challenging ones would of made it a five star game for me.
Along the same lines as all the other games in this series but it is a short game, just two evenings playing for a short while and I was finished. Nice game but think I am getting fed up of these AHOG because it didnt excite me enough to keep playing. Maybe its just me but I preferred the previous games in this series, this one seems to be one game too many. It's ok but I wouldnt go so far as giving it five stars and if I had my time over I wouldnt of bought it, the puzzles were easy. It was .. Ok.
I read the reviews on this one and thought it must be worth buying. It was a total yawnfest.. it took only two evenings to complete very short game so there was no value for money. The tasks which were scattered between the HO scenes were ok (such as finding multiple objects for a customer) but there just weren't enough of them and the HO scenes became repetitive and easy to fulfil with really no need for hints/butterflies and it was frustrating that the entire game you were stuck in the barn not able to roam around even though the game took you outside a couple of times to do tasks you couldnt move around outside yourself. If you want to waste a few hours clicking away at easy to find objects on a screen just to earn enough money to buy a Grandfather clock for the stairs great! but I think I will give games like this a miss in future and stick to more Adventure puzzle based HOG. If it was a 99p perhaps but at the price it is it is not worth it.
Fantastic game cannot wait for the 2nd installment!

Thank goodness finally a game that has good puzzles, challenges your mind and has a brilliant story line. I cannot wait for the 2nd installment as you are left with an exciting cliff hanger at the end. A good old fashioned adventure game (not HOG) refreshing to play!
I read the reviews for this game and downloaded it straight away before testing.. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was so looking forward to playing it, from first glance it had potential, good story line, fantastic graphics. A little into the gameplay I found the HOS tedious beyond belief. The scenes are indiscriminate objects that fuse to create one larger object nice idea but done many times before.. the objects were out of scale and sometimes totally impossible to find without hints. The puzzles were ok, not very challenging but ok. The Map is completely useless, rubbish design and didnt help gameplay whatsoever. I found I was often walking aimlesly from room to room to find the next object of clue to progress, this I found boring, perhaps the collectors edition is the better option for a more full experience? Annoyingly one of the hidden object scenes didnt "kick in" til I left and re-entered the room I was in.. all well and good but I ended up walking round ten other rooms before re-entering to find it started to "sparkle", this just made me more annoyed at the waste of time spent. This had the makings of a fantastic game, brilliant story line and graphics but the game play was just tedious and annoying and I just wanted it to end! Sorry but you have been warned! It will now be deleted from my computer and never played again which I just consider a waste of money.
Getting fed up of HOG to be honest and this was probably one of the blandist. The delay on changing scenes was ridiculous sometimes taking 30 seconds! never had such a slow loading game. I found the story line dull and "seen it done it all before" nothing much of a challenge, the puzzles were the easiest I have done (get the feeling I didnt like this one). Found myself praying that it would end soon .. waste of money! Deleted straight after playing and wont ever re-install!
I liked the first half of the game but it went down hill from there.. stupid storyline and ending. Such a shame as the design is great and setting is creepy enough to be really excellent but while do they feel the need to ruin these games with stupid "baddies" ... just no need. Maybe I am just getting too old!
