I would have given this one five stars but for the morphing objects. I would have gotten them all but one of the scenes would not reopen to let me in. It was at the fountain where you have to replace a faucet and then get all of the streams to go all at once. After I realized I would not be able to get to the morphing object I was rather miffed and it put a damper on the rest of the game. Developer, would you please not close down a scene if there is a morphing object in it? This happened to me with the original 1000 Doors game. Actually, looking to make sure that a person has all of his/her morphing objects creates tension. I would rather not have to look for them if the truth be told.
As far as the mini games, they were, on the whole, very well done. I only skip some of the most aggravating ones. Also, I would rather not have so many HOS. That's just me!

I can't say enough about this game. It was wonderful and I was sad when it came to an end. I'm glad I was able to purchase it during the BONUS for CE's. Buy one CE, get one free.
Bravo to the developers. You really outdid yourselves this time!
I recommend this game!

All in all, this game was fun albeit scary. The hidden objects actually had relevance to the story, which is refreshing in itself. The hints revealed just enough so you didn't have to stop the game and look at the walkthrough. Sometimes they even told you which inventory item to use and where.
Although the storyline leaned towards the melancholy, the game was long enough so you knew you were getting your money's worth.
Toward the end of the game methane gas is released and the character wonders:"What is that nasty smell?" Well, someone in the development department had not done his/her homework. As such, methane, as it naturally occurs, has no odor or color.
I recommend this game!

Who needs a walkthrough when the hint system in this game serves just as well? I love this game! Click on the map and it will take you where you need to be. The graphics are wonderful, the music is appropriate for the game and you can even use things from your inventory during a HOS. Fantastic!
The puzzle games are original and interesting. You can skip the ones that you don't like or can't get through.
Why buy the CE when this regular edition will do nicely? All you get with the CE is a bit of extra game play, the guide, and wallpaper. I don't need that, all I want to do is play the game. Keep up the good work, developers.
I recommend this game!

What a thrilling game with all shades of cyan and then some. I wish the other developers would take a look and see that we fishies like these kinds of games. I hated to come to the end!

Another mental hospital story line with a child beckoning and begging for help. There has been a plethora of this genre on BG lately and I'm looking forward to other offerings.
I waited until the regular edition of the game became available and right from the start I began to feel that somehow I was being punished because I didn't buy the CE. Not one iota of help was offered except that the hint button, when pressed outside of a HOG section, would reluctantly flash the arrow at something or tell you in which direction to go.
Another complaint is that the journal would not stay on the last viewed page. If you wanted to read any of the notes, found in abundance I might add, you had to arrow forward each and every time. As the game progressed it became even more tedious because there were so many pages . . .
The game ended abruptly even though there were still things to do and no matter what I did I couldn't get back into the game to complete it.
I was hoping to see a fix for this problem but so far, none has appeared. I feel cheated.
Save your money. This was a total bust.
I don't recommend this game.

I am a long-time gamer and consider myself pretty good at playing these sorts of games but this one had me using the hint button a lot more than I usually do.
However, the hero's voice-over every time I clicked on an object drove me so nuts I had to take the headphones off until that part was done. (Yes, yes, I did click on the same object over and over!)
There are a lot of logic puzzles to solve and I found that I could not play for more than an hour at a time because of brain strain.
A very original and challenging game; too bad it was so short.
I recommend this game!

The HOG portions were pleasurable. Unfortunately, it wasn't until the very last HOG of the game that I discovered that the object's shape was shown if one paused their cursor over it. But in spite of that, I found the HOGs fulfilling, not too difficult nor too simple. The puzzles were challenging enough.
The graphics were pretty good too. The music, though tedious, at least was not annoying enough for me to turn it off.
The developers did a fine job with the English language and the grammar too was surprisingly good. However, there seemed to be a mishmash with the military. Terms from the Army and Navy were thrown about so I couldn't deduce the branch. Was it Navy? The young girl was flying a Navy plane. BTW, no civilian would be allowed to fly a military plane.
Then there were references to a private, second class. There is no such thing as a private, second class in the U. S. military. Also, there are no colonels in the navy. The equivalent rank for a colonel (0-6# in the navy is captain #0-6#. Yes, it is a bit confusing but it is the truth.
Towards the last of the game there was a U. S. Army officer's hat for field grade officers on a table but when you zoomed away from it appeared to be a Russian army hat.
The military uniform in the main building #hanging up on the wall# was also a mixed bag. No way would there be a red patch under the eagles of the colonel's rank. Also, the over-all color and cut looked strange for a U. S. military uniform. It seemed better suited for Eurasian military headgear.
I am mentioning just a few dubious details about the military presented in this game; they were abundant. Developers: If you don't know enough about a subject #such as our U. S. military) I suggest you don't use it in any future games. I liked the game enough to buy and play it but I winced constantly over the gaffes.
I'm giving this game a 3.5 if that were possible but I'll upgrade it to a 4 because there is no 3.5.
I recommend this game!

This is a lovely game which takes place in London. If you are a fan of ANYTHING British then this is the game for you.
I am one of those players who appreciates a bit of knowledge and this game provided it. I discovered lots and lots of new facts about English history. What a fun way to learn.
Have you ever bought a game and then couldn't wait to finish it because it was tedious and boring? Well, this game was not one of those. Keep up the good work!

I couldn't believe that this was not a Collector's Edition. I even went back to the BFG site to make sure. I got my money's worth with this game and it was hours of pure enjoyment. I didn't rush through it because I wanted it to last and last.
Have you ever bought a game and then couldn't wait to finish it because it was tedious and boring? Well, this game was not one of those. Please, please! Offer more of these Deluxe Editions. This one is five-star and then some.
