I played the first one in this series here at BigFish and loved it. I have just finished High Seas at another site and it's taken me quite some time (replaying levels to max out everything) and been a whole lot of fun again!
TM gamers who enjoy the Delicious/Fabulous/Amelie genre will like this. You are Claire, cooking, serving and cashing out hungry customers. You are not alone, though, and have help in certain areas (which help varies). This needs some getting used to as some of the chaining tips are also earned by cashing out diners by working in tandem with your colleague to collect money within 5 seconds. On some levels you will also have a photographer to take snaps of the happy cruisers. You need to keep an eagle eye on everyone and everything happening all at once and chaining is not necessarily always the way to 3 stars. This really is multi-tasking gone mad on later levels and thinking ahead on what upgrades to purchase (or save up more money to buy at later levels in a restaurant) can really pay off.
Hearts are a real challenge to fill up and take time as you will, variously, either find multiple racoons, clear up messes or quickly (and I mean VERY quickly) satisfy customers who enter with a golden heart. Alongside trying to fill the heart up, you also try to get 3 stars. All the time you are also multi-tasking the cooking/stocking up/serving and it gets very busy in there. Yep, quite the challenge which, to me, is a good thing.
The graphics are bright and the food is appealing. I'm not a great fan of lengthy convos at the start of every level, but you can skip, as usual.
The only slight downside is that the dishes get ever more complex and it can be difficult to differentiate the ingredients if your eyesight, like mine, is no longer 20/20 (see the Asian large screenshot as an example). Overall, though, this is a good challenge for gamers who like fast TM games and it certainly has replay value if you do want to get a clean sweep of all hearts and stars. Enjoy!
