This game has so many Halloween characters. It is delightful. The story has a twist. Movement in zoom boxes after you complete an action. The hops have full on Halloween themes which I love. Tried some puzzles. The Boudoir has a refreshment table to buy Halloween themed food. Wasn't sure what I thought of the Aquamarine Mermaidy.
Last year's Gloomy Tales: One Way Ticket has full interactive scenes from start to finish. Which is very good except I had problems with the bonus content.
Replay 42 videos, 16 hops, 48 mgs and 5 music. Has 3 chapter + bonus, 10 wallpapers. I collected 10 morphing victim portraits, 10 anti-vampire weapons and 70 Invitations. Could use more collectibles.
The collectible hotel was Burton Hotel, and the other titles hotels are from the last 11 Haunted Hotel which James Blackthorn is leading man. James after he married retired. Now his cousin David Blackthorn is on the job. I seen the last name spelled different in different areas of the game. I just wish they would pick one spelling and be done with it.
I really enjoyed playing this game. The guest book in the hotel is signed by Rachel Cowell and James Blackthorn. Like how they string other Elephant games together. I found some movement in the game like a rubber ducky, paper boat and airplanes. Had several scenes open. Really enjoyed the hops.
Replay 14 hops, 13 puzzles and 6 music. Has 4 chapters + bonus chapter, 26 Expedition scene if you missed anything, secret room has jigsaw puzzle, achievements, 5 wallpapers and a screensaver. I collected 12 Hotels and 26 puzzle pieces. Like more collectibles.
I counted 34 scenes. At least 3 used twice or multi-layered. The CE has an extra 12 scenes that are wonderful. It has improvements like a check mark if you don't need to find the photo. It has much more movement in the scenes. Ghosts moving about. The CE haunted mansion and Spooksville train scenes are worth it in my opinion. I'm using the CE Greenhouse wallpaper.
Buying and decorating a house for Halloween was fun.
My only complaints are Blueberry are in the matching game for poisonous berries, I know that isn't accurate. The jigsaw is too hard. I like jigsaws to be large pieces outlined and enjoyable. Had some items on the hidden object list that I didn't know and just took guesses for. Like technical term for an item that isn't common knowledge.
There are 5 now in the series. This was the last one that didn't give me trouble. The morphs are a little too hard. The scenes are so wonderful. I Love how you can just get a close up with the mouse wheel. The picture is just as crisp in the close up.
I found the morphs so I could have puzzle pieces to put the pictures of flowers and plants together. I always ran out of pieces to place the jigsaw so had to play some more. I purchased plants. Don't care much about placing the plants but loved buying them. Like for all the scenes to full of my screen. Tired of differences.
I did like the name of the locations and the Full Screen hop. Liked the mini-games.
What I didn't like was it doesn't magnify well because it isn't moveable, it shows 4 places and when magnified it's blurry. This was a pain and NOT fun.
I was disappointed with the magnifier. The magnifier doesn't do much good and it's hazy. So many other hops have excellent magnifiers. The scenes aren't really vivid. Scenes too little and a strain for the eyes.
In the scene Clearwater, Florida, the man has 2 right shoes on.
I did like the Pink House in Argentine. I liked the descriptions beginning the scenes and all the collectibles
I trialed it and liked it enough to buy it, but it got so boring. Took me over a week to finish it because I would stop if I got bored. Each hop is used twice. I hate to play a puzzle to have a conversation. Want outlines in the plus items and not the shaking the plus item does on the tool bar. Finding the differences when it isn't side by side for memory is terrible. The voices were turned all the way up and I could barely hear them. I keep my volume knob at the same place for every game and I had to turn that up just for the voices. Where did the interactive scenes go?
The only mini-game I liked was the swap flower petals. Actually, has one nice wallpaper without a character. Liked the 10 fashon clipings, 10 morphing barber tool and 70 hair cut coupons. Replay 36 videos, 16 hops, 48 mgs. Has 3 chapters + bonus, 15 wallpapers and 15 concept arts.
I liked so many things about this game. I liked the hops, most mgs, the beautiful scenes, the collectibles, the jigsaw, achievements and the wallpapers. Has 3 chapters + bonus, 5 wallpapers, 12 tarot cards, 24 roses to make a jigsaw (you can replay). You can go back and pick up a collectible you missed in the end.
If I tried it before I purchased it, I would have seen the Stupid stars and wouldn't have bought it. I hate most of the sounds, the entry, the tension. You can't even access all the settings without stopping the game. I didn't like different hops. Didn't like having to do a puzzle to have a conversation. The wallpapers Suck. I stopped for days at a time just to finish it. So boring. Where did the interaction scenes go? They stole it from Elefun Game anyways.
Not all locations have the collectible jigsaw pieces. When I completed the jigsaw and placed the pieces, it asked if I wanted to save it. When I said yes, it froze my pc. My pc thinks it was unfriendly ransomware. Something about the rules if not followed it's considered unfriendly ransomware.
It was an ok game. Not crazy about most puzzles. Not very exciting.
