I have played the two previous games in this series, so I thought I would go ahead and see if this third game had any improvements. However, I have decided the following:
1. The paintings are too dark. If you try to brighten your screen, you'll lose the definition of the painting. 2. Most of the paintings are very grainy and the hidden objects themselves are not drawn well at all. 3. Some of the objects are off to the very edge of the painting so that the entire object is not visible to the solver. Totally frustrating. 4. In addition to objects being poorly drawn, some are ridiculously tiny. So I can't believe there's no zoom feature. After a while you will feel a headache coming on and the eyestrain will do you in. 5. Hints are expensive and the price keeps going up for each one you purchase. There was one painting where I relied on hints to solve the entire scene, which meant I had no money left to furnish the mansion. 6. The length of this game is a lot shorter than the first two.
The concept of hidden objects in famous paintings is brilliant, but the execution in this game is sadly lacking.
You would think the devs could come up with some new music and new mini games. Fourteen games of basically the same music and the same slider & memory games is enough already. And wasting time to click on tons of yellow suns only to gain one or two hints is ridiculous.
If you have never played one of these Shopping Clutter games before, I actually recommend you try one of them. Any one of them because they all have the same premise. It was a cute series when it first premiered, but now it's just monotonous. Why do developers have to run a good thing into the ground instead of coming up with something new?
