I usually love time management, especially farming games, but this was a disappointment. It felt like there was too much work put into the 3D graphics, which didn't contribute much to the fun factor of the game, while the mechanics were very simplistic and not engaging. Maybe it'll get better as it progresses, but I wasn't interested enough to find out after a bit of play.

This game is a micture of my favourite types of games - you have to build a colony (different buildings to produce resources for more buildings, but also to trade with game characters), but also have some quests to accomplish, there's a strong element of time management, but at the same time it's not just frantic clicking, but you have to strategize and plan which resources you'll need and in which order. While I was not a fan of the building deterioration (and restoration of productivity), because the restoration only helps for a short time and costs an enormous amount of resources, overall, I still enjoyed book two as much as book one and can't wait for the third part (and I hope there will be more games with similar features).

I love all aspects of the game - that you can try different difficulty levels, that you have lots of autonomy in how to build up your colony, that there are quests, but you have to figure out yourself how best to complete them (how much of which resources you need) etc. The game is timed, but not a desperate clicking like many time management games - more of a strategy game. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Sadly, I was disappointed - I was hoping for a gardening game, but this is just another of these running-around-picking-up-stuff games. I really didn't feel a connection to gardening. Lately, all the time management games are either this type or the ones where you build and sell houses, purchase plots etc. I just really wish for a good gardening or restaurant/cafe/shop game... For those players who like games of this variety (My Kingdom for the Princess, I think, was one of the first on BFG), I guess this is quite good. The side quests that you have to figure out yourself are a nice idea.

Although the combats seemed a little bit difficult in quite the beginning, I'm happy that I didn't quit, because I find this game really fun (bought it right after finishing trial), with just the right amount of challenge (I'm an experienced player of this type of games, maybe that helps), cute characters and interesting (although at some points a bit hard to follow) storyline. What really shows to me that the game has a good difficulty level is that when, with other adventure games, I've had to get tips in the forum several times to finish some (side) quests, here I've managed to complete everything on my own (I've played for several hours now, although it's possible that I'll need some help before the end). A useful addition would be journal or something that would list current quests, but otherwise, great game!

The idea of the game is very good and interesting, and I've never played a game like this before. I even bought this after I tried the demo, but it turned out that it's very short (I finished it in less than two hours, I think), so I'm now regretting paying the full price for this game.
Also, the game is way too difficult! I tried it first on the computer keyboard, but that didn't work very well for me (since I've also played the piano, I'd instinctively try to play according to the music, but it doesn't match with real piano keys), so I switched to mouse. With the mouse, I completed the "too easy" mode without too much work (had to replay a couple of levels), so after I finished and realized how short it was, I thought of trying again in "normal" mode. I managed to complete the first level, but simply gave up on the second - it seems impossible. I tried over and over again, but didn't even get close to winning the duel, although I thought I was doing okay, considering the speed of the music, and actually got quite a lot of points.
So, it's a fun game, but the balance between price and length is not right, and the difficulty modes are way off. I'm hoping for some new, similar game with these things fixed. :)
