This is the most enjoyable time management game I have encountered so far. The story is fun, the animation is great, Cedric's smile, and the squeaking parrot in the intro screen are fun and makes me smile too right away! The variety in general, choices with houses, different production resources, the choices to make in the market, the thinking of what decision to make etc make it quite an intelligent game and not a repetitive chore. Highly recommended!
I miss the variety of the market offers, that you can "negotiate" and wait till a better offer comes by, that you have to plan more as it were. I miss the tax collectors. I do not like the fact that the money, food etc disappears after a while. Overall it's less fun. I did purchase it in the hope I would get used to it. Am on the third village now and find it just so so. It's more of a chore and sorting out paper and paying bills in real life might be more exciting! I want to see the original concept back!!! PLEASE. Oh and I definitely miss the intro screen with Cedric's smile. That somehow had something nice about it...
This is an adventure game and has a very nice story line. Couldn't wait to get to the next puzzle, assignment and story. Great art, lovely story. Some puzzles I needed some help with, but most I would figure out at some point. Love the combination of puzzles, story arc, hidden objects. I hardly used the walk through, so not sure if the collector editions was necessary but it was worth it. Whole heartedly recommended!
Despite the pictures / paintings being beautiful, the objects were hard to recognize, even when right on top. Also no indication idea where it was in Prague. Not helpful to learn about the city, which was a big disappointment. In comparison with the Big City adventure series, this is quite poor. Only the find the differences pictures were very good, but again it didn't tell you what the scenery was. I hope a new version comes out with which we can learn about Prague.
