Lower levels are good, middle levels are challenging because you know you have a chance to win but the last level becomes boring because there are so many obstacles, it's next to impossible to move forward, and you have to replay level over and over. On sale, buy it, otherwise don't bother.
13th Skull and Dire Grove were on sale during Halloween's spooky game sale and I bought them both-unplayed. I will never do that again. I had played other Mystery Case file games and enjoyed them-not these two. If I wanted to watch a movie, I would; so I did not enjoy the video inserts. Maybe I'm stupid, but games are supposed to be fun and entertaining. These two were so difficult to figure out (with no hints available) I gave up in disgust and uninstalled it. The only "hidden objects" I ever found were video tapes laying (in plain site) on the ground. I never got anywhere else. I just wish it downloaded as quickly as it does on uninstall. Only $3.49 x 2 (on sale) but still a waste of money.
Cool updated version; better than the first one. Bigger money, more to lose quicker; so more challenging. The comments he makes are a hoot too.
But the thing that is freaky is the fact that the "game" knows how long you've been gone-overnight or for a few days. NSA worries? This game is WATCHING you. LOL Weird. Good fun though.
Too many of the levels don't show what's left to accomplish (different colored squares) so all you can do is just keep matching and hope for the best. You don't know why you win a level. Some levels do have the squares in different colors so you know what you have left, but most don't. Wouldn't waste my money on it.

Granted, it's a match game but it has enough levels of difficulty to keep it interesting. On timed play, it's a challenge to beat the clock without using the hammer or extra time sand clock. For such a small game (easy to download) it has great graphics, nice sound and it's interesting to play. Would recommend to anyone. :) The little zen philosophies are cool too.
