Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
First impressions at the "Play" screen. The graphics are very crisp. The options are, music, effect and environment volume. Then, Appearance choice, is for windowed and high definition. (My game has black bars either side, it never bothers me and I never change it. It is always a surprise if a game gives me full screen automatically! LOL!) Gameplay choice, subtitles and hardware cursor. Note, no choice of difficulty. (Just mentioning) From playing the demo only. Some times it is hard to discover if there are more places to go, this can only be done by scrolling ALL over the screen, I personally nearly missed a whole area, near the beginning. I love to see morphing objects as part of achievements but not to replace H0 scenes. I was extremely interested to see in the credits, how many people it took to make this game, it was like a films credit line up! I cannot see, immediately, what the "extras" are. Finally, I have come across better games recently and will maybe buy this another time. Well done for all the work that was put into this. As a foot note, I hate having to choose yes or no to recommending this game, the reason for the no, is that IMHO there are better games out at the moment.
A really well thought out storyline. Unfortunately, set yet again at night, hence the dark scenes. I would like to see a choice of options for difficulty and less sparkles. I found the interaction a little hard sometimes, in the way that I had to be extremely accurate when using inventory items. The time lag, building up the % between some scenes was extremely annoying, felt like a really old game. Overall, an excellent attempt at a HOPA.
