I played the demo of the CE and was enjoying it very much. I ended up purchasing the standard version. I have never played the former Twistingo games and most likely won't, only because I have now been spoiled on this most excellent version. Please make another like this. I'm addicted!
Due to some negative reviewers, I had this game on my "Do Not Buy" list. I decided to download the demo and liked it immediately! I'm near level 25 now and glad I bought it. I'm not a "play through" person. Rather I enjoy a few levels or chapters daily on almost all my games of various genres. Yes, this one might prove a bit of a challenge for some. As for me, it's perfect as are all the Laruaville, Cursed House and Spellarium games.
First let me say that I believe this game has the intention of players using the hint button occasionally but not excessively! And in all fairness, I played this game on a 55" screen as many items were literally in the dark at which time I definitely had to use the hint. I loved the puzzles and may consider purchasing when there is a good sale just for that aspect. For some reason, my game had no sound so I can't comment on that quality. If you're intending to play this on a regular sized monitor, I suggest playing the trial first. You may find aggravation by having to overly use the hint button. In that case, I do not recommend this game.
Very nice relaxing game. Virtually hours of puzzle time. You can even redo a puzzle in different formats; i.e., ghosted or not, rotated or not, different type of pieces, etc. My only caveat is that loading up on "snowflakes" with no use for them is a downer. Spoiler alert: there is a use for them up to a point. After that I can see no way of using them unless I'm missing something. All in all a great game for anyone of any age!
I liked this game although I found it more challenging and often more difficult than other Christmas games. I play on Casual Mode. The voice overs were a bit lengthy but they do provide a skip button. Music was very pleasant. I do have a beef and I'm not sure what the problem is. This is the second Christmas CE I've purchased and played where there are NO wallpapers. Setting one results in a black screen. It creates the folder in Documents but the folder is empty! This is a Domini game. The last one was "Taxi of Miracles" by Elephant games. NO wallpapers in either game. This has never happened before. I'm on Windows 10 and have never had a problem with other CE's. Please BigFish, contact these developers for a fix. Recommending this game for the gameplay only.
I really enjoyed playing this game! It was, however, very simple and not geared towards more hardcore gamers of which I am not one. It has great graphics and voices as well as a good storyline. The music also gave me that holiday "feel good". My only problem is that unlike other "Christmas Stories" games, I didn't get any Wallpaper from this game. Not sure if the developer is going to add them or not. It did make the folder in my documents, but alas, it came up empty this time as well as a blank desktop when trying to set. It's not a big deal but I do like getting what I paid for. Anyway, I will play this one again next Christmas to get my "feel Good" on.

I purchased this as a CE version because I really like the series. However, I found out that in order to access the bonus levels you must play in Casual (timed) mode and get at least three successful (beat the time) levels. I'm an elderly person who likes to play in relaxed mode. I just can't do the stress factor. Buyer beware.

This is the greatest game! I had been longing for another "Tiny Bang Story" style game (which I have played many times). At first I thought it might be too easy, but then the challenge was definitely there! The story line was great too even though I prefer something a little more light-hearted or even comical. Please, please make more of this kind. Yes, I'm begging!
I truly enjoyed this casual game - with emphasis on casual! What I first noticed were some awesome sound effects. Voice-overs were great. Music was relaxing. Most mini-games were doable for me. Just loved it all around! I did have to play with my antivirus turned off though and sometimes the game wouldn't load. This is on Windows 10. Nothing I couldn't work around. From a casual gamer with over 1200 games.

I am grateful to the developers for making a builder game with a relaxed mode. I am an older person who feels a sense of accomplishment of building each episode which often requires strategical thinking. I actually don't find the timed mode enjoyable and since I use a trackball movements are slower. Country Tales has a great story line and each level feels like a mini game in a larger picture. I am now going to check out their other titles. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase!
