Played this in Beta test and loved it. The bright colours were a welcome change from some of the dark, gloomy graphics we've had and I really enjoyed it. I've lost my notes from the Beta test so I can't comment in detail but I've been waiting for this one to come out.
I haven't had time to play it yet in final form but it's an immediate buy for me!
I recommend this game!

Played the demo, which seemed quite long, to the point of finding the 2nd of 7 gnomes.
The game has 3 levels - I played in casual.
The HO scenes are not interactive, and one was repeated during my game play, with some of the same objects to find.
It has morphing objects to find - I found 10 of 36 during the demo.
The mini games are fun, one (the fish) I found quite thought provoking, but worked it out in the end - might have been quicker if I'd noticed the question mark in the top right hand corner which describes what you have to do! And it had an added twist at the end. At least I didn't have to skip any of the mini-games!
There is no map, but the hint button takes you right to the point where you have something to do.
The graphics aren't brilliantly sharp, but they fit with the atmosphere and aren't so bad you can't find stuff.
I really enjoyed playing the game, and am off to buy it.
I recommend this game!

A good game if you're not in a hurry. The actions are very measured - you have to pause before you place a puzzle piece, or before you get your prize from the HO scenes. You can't just grab it!
I know the HOs aren't interactive, but they're not bad and it's not a CE.
The map is supposed to be interactive, but I didn't use it. I just used the hint button to navigate.
The story is silly, sometimes startling, and different, and mildly intriguing - just use skip of it gets too much(I did).
The accents are weird and don't match the people speaking. I.have.never.heard.anyone.speak.like.the.opening.one... and he's supposed to be an African!
However that said I found myself wanting to play on at the end of the demo, so I'll use a free token to get the game. It's entertaining, and would pass the time nicely, thank you.
I recommend this game!

I'm in two minds about this game.
I really enjoyed playing the demo, and was disappointed when it came to an end. However at the end of the demo I still had 21 minutes to play.
To be fair, I skipped the cut scenes whoch I always do when playing a trial (because I want to play the game, not sit and watch a back story) and I also skipped one of the mini games because I wanted to get on and see the rest of the game.
I loved the variety of the HO scenes. One early one had a novel twist - after returning the objects to their proper place you then had to find 3 or so related objects, and were rewarded with an animated scene which gave you your object.
The hint button showed pictorially exactly what you had to do next. However you have to remember which room the scene you are shown is in because you're not shown which direction you have to go in. I didn't play long enough to see if there would be loads of locations so that this might be a problem later on.
There's no map, interactive or otherwise, which I really expect these days in a CE, especially if there's a lot of backtracking.
I usually look at the strategy guide towards the end of the demo to see how long the game might be, but the demo ended so suddenly and so early I dodn't have a chance.
To sum up the game is great fun, but maybe wait for a review of the completed game if game length is important to you.
I recommend this game!

I read all the reviews before downloading the demo, and was prepared th be disappointed and baffled by the fragmented hidden object scenes and the quality of the artwork. However I didn't find any problems, and even completed one scene without once referring to the pictures showing the bits I was looking for. Mind you I play quite a few of these, so a complete FROG novice would certainly find them harder than I did.
I did find the mini games needed a bit more instruction / explanation than was given, and although there is a map to take you to the area you need to be in, it is very general and does not take you to the precise area you have a task to perform. But on the basic level the hints filled quickly, and if I was stuck, they pointed me in the direction I had to go without holding my hand and telling me exactly what I needed to do.
I finished the demo wanting more, so this is a buy for me, especially with this weekend's deal.
I recommend this game!

The game has a dated feel, but was still perfectly playable, and some of the mini games needed a bit of thought.
The cursor was slow to change to an eye when you could interact with objects.
The hint button helped show where to go / what to do and was quick to recharge in the easy version,
However the game is very short; I skipped through the cut scenes and as a result practically finished it in the demo period (I was playing the easy version).
Overall I enjoyed the game, but at an hour playing time I wouldn't buy it - not even to replay it in the harder mode.
However for players who want to take their time, and enjoy the cut scenes, and have a credit or free game to spare, it's not bad.
I've given it 3 stars because I didn't actively dislike the game. Had it been half-an-hour or so longer, I'd probably have used a free game credit and bought it.
I don't recommend this game.

Loved the game and bought it at the end of the demo. I played it in casual mode, the easiest of three, and found it challenging enough and just right for my mood today.
Loved that you could opt out of (and back into) the HO scenes, by playing a paddle-type game, which got progressively harder.
Loved the fact that there's a map which allows you to move quickly between scenes. Only niggle is that it doesn't indicate areas where you have tasks to perform, so you need to remember where things are that you need to do. However if you forget, the hint button indicated the direction you had to go and, in casual mode, it refilled pretty quickly.
I recommend this game!
