I have to admit I'm not very far into the game yet but I want to say how much it has impressed me. Few games are non-linear, which is something I love. Look for the all-too-common cookie cutter features of some games and you will not find them here. I've already used the SG, but that's what it's there for; I'd be disappointed in a game that was too easy.

I had to try this when FROGS were mentioned since I've always loved that aspect of games. This is the kind of old school game that we are seeing more often these days, but it is a nice one. The look is rather bare bones at times but maybe the devs can add more sparkle to their next game.

In more than 10 years of playing HOPA games, I've seen many games where a character--often a woman--is taken from her/his ordinary life to a supernatural place to overcome some mystery or tragedy. Very few of these games have taken place in Asia, and this has to be the first time that India has played the part so well.
I know that someone will say the art is cartoonish, but it is rich in color and fits the plot and characters perfectly. Supernatural beings are not meant to be photographs. This is a game where much is to be found and seen. And it is not always something we expect.
I love hidden objects more than puzzles and they were well done. The puzzles run the whole range from easy to difficult, and the fact I gave only 4 stars to this aspect means there were none that I had to skip even after having to look for help. A veteran player would have no problems but also should enjoy the variety.
Sound is probably the weakest part of this game, but I have to admit my hearing is not great. Most games I don't even use sound, although I did in this case. It did seem to be minimal and not adding as much to the game as I hoped, but no big deal for me.
Overall, thanks to the devs for a unique game that I will be playing more than once to be certain not to have missed anything in this gorgeous tale.
I do own a few games in this series, including one CE, but nothing can compare to this travesty. Years ago ERS was as good as it got, then took a nosedive into mediocrity. I had hopes that the old quality was back but this is not. When the only thing you can rely on is good graphics, you can count me out of the game.
