Confront an ancient evil and uncover your true! After a startling revelation changes your world forever, you must embark on an epic journey to save mankind.
Based on the quality of the artwork, I thought this was going to be a winner. However, I found bugs like the voice-overs being interrupted. There was nothing really engaging about this game. I wouldn't even get the SE.
Interestingly different story, doesn't take forever to transition scenes and the custom mouse is as fast as the system mouse, interactive map, hints, strategy guide, lots of mini games (which I love) that are just difficult enough, and to complete the picture, a lovely little squeaky squirrel that you can use as a tool or pamper as you wish. Lots of fun, no frustration, good performance, decent graphics, not ponderous... all in all, it's a keeper.
I recommend this game!

Trivia Machine Reloaded
Climb to the top of the ladder by answering fun questions from the trivia machine! The game features thousands of fun trivia questions in 9 categories.
Similar to "who wants to be a millionaire." I agree with the reviewer who said that they appreciate the lack of an annoying MC. It's just you and the machine. Man... do I suck at sports! I kept praying for science and technology to come up. I used a free game credit, so for me it was a win/win.
I recommend this game!

Scrabble
The fantastically fun crossword game is now specially designed for your PC or Mac!
If you are not a die hard Scrabble fiend and you just want a reasonably fun, challenging word game to play, this is it. I like playing against the computer, even though it wins every time (evil machine). The dictionary is helpful; it might not be the official dictionary, but who can tell except for total Scrabble mavens? The music is annoying so I turned it off using the inaptly-named "Sound" control. I used a free game code to purchase, and I don't feel cheated one bit.
The four stars are for the quality of the game. The story and the graphics were exceptional. I would have given this game five stars, but a map would have been really nice. Also, I knew there was little play left when I reached the wizard's castle. Therefore, I won't be buying it. Hopefully the developer will release another longer game. I would definitely buy it.

The game play was alright, fairly easy actually. And the story is decent, graphics well-made. But having to click through all of her dialog was maddening, and having her there winking at me all of the time was creepy/annoying. I didn't finish the trial.

This is definitely not your average HOAG, although it starts out that way. But once you're past the learning episode in Atlantis, the game takes you to where no HOAG has gone before. The story is engaging, and so unusual! There is a mystery to solve and creepy evidence abounds. No witches or demons or evil spirits here. Instead, you get honest-to-goodness sci-fi suspense. I can't wait to turn the next corner or enter the next chamber, and there are so many to investigate! No worries, though, because the interactive map makes getting around this maze-of-a-game a breeze! If this game doesn't get Game of the Year... Well, I have to get back to it now. I just entered the Martian catacombs. The creatures are totally creeping me out and the suspense is killing me! Get this game!

I love the games that this company makes. This one was highly unusual in that only two of the HOGs were run-of-the-mill. The rest were twists on the concept. The mini games (my fav) were also unusual, but not hard. The graphics were good, the story line gruesome, but stimulating. The only reason this game got 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was too short and it ended abruptly. How disappointing. You find out who the culprit is in such a rush, no explanation of motive (although you can guess), no closure. I was bummed. Still, they make great games.
Someone else mentioned that the game was "cartoonish." While true, the artwork was very well done. The story is OK, but I could have done without having to click through the dialog. The characters were very cute, like the creepy guy moving from house to house. Those aspects might have contributed to this game getting 4 stars, but the game play was so unexciting, it only rates a 3. I would have liked to turn off the custom pointer. They tend to be slower-moving than system pointers, which is important when playing timed games.
