This review is for the free trial of the game. I found it entirely too hard to find items. The items are poorly rendered and very difficult to see, even with 20/20 vision! Instructions are minimal. I won't buy it.
I don't recommend this game.

I have played this game through more times than I'm willing to admit! There are a couple of bugs, though with the "rewards" tally. I'm one of those people who want the "perfect" game. Unfortunately, the "blog posts" counter has a tendency to get stuck.
The game play, however, is flawless. Great fun!
I recommend this game!

I missed these types of HOG's since most nowadays have evil storylines with a different type of puzzle. This is a return to basics: a game where you can select "relaxed" to look your fill and where the graphics are clear. There is a zoom option to help as well.
The only reason I rated this 4/5 on storyline and level of challenge is that there isn't a whole lot of story other than notes about the area and what can be done there. It's more like a travelogue. In relaxed mode, the level of challenge is perfect since it's not too easy that I click-click-click but it's not too hard that I have to use hints, either.

This review is based on the demo.
STORY: Zombie Solitaire makes light of a serious subject: What will we do when the world turns to zombies from eating tofu burgers? Culinary tastes aside, the answers arrive in the form of a map that guides you from home to a safe house. 5 stars!
GAMEPLAY: The only negative thing I can say is that there is only the standard (one up, one down) style of solitaire. You hardly miss alternate versions, though. The game is packed full of fun special cards that allow you to nudge the cards a little in your favor while taking out zombies that block your way. Gold stars are the currency here, and gameplay gives a generous pocketful. Use them to buy special cards to help you out of sticky situations. 5 stars!
VISUAL/SOUND: "Zombie" music plays throughout the game. Music and sound effects are great, adding to the fun. The artwork is clear and each card has a zombie on it, enhancing the experience that you are truly getting rid of zombies along the way. 5 stars!
CHALLENGE: As mentioned earlier, there is only one style of solitaire. Alternate games would have been nice, but with all the fun it's not a big issue for me. The challenge factor will vary with your experience playing this type of solitaire. 4 stars!
OVERALL: This one's a keeper! After playing the 1 hour demo, I intend to buy the game. Thanks, Big Fish, for offering a light, fun alternative to the dark HOG's you've been featuring recently.
I recommend this game!

I downloaded this game because of another reviewer who said they played it on "relaxed mode". I don't see that as an option. I am waiting for a TM game of this ilk to offer relaxed....
I recommend this game!

I downloaded the game when it was the daily special. When my hour was up, I paid the low price which I now regret. Within another 5 minutes, I got into what looked like the last puzzle and the game locked up. At the end of each section, you must find 5 pieces of the pharaoh's mask. Then, you move the mask into a slot to open the doors to a riddle scene. I was in the riddle scene and clicked on the journal to review the clues. When I closed the journal, I was back at the door with the slot for the mask, but with no mask! I had to end the game by closing the window.
I started a new game and had an exception error when I got to the same screen.
It was not even worth the daily special price.
The scenes are mainly "spot the differences", as others have said, and I enjoyed the game while it worked. It goes quickly since the items/spots flicker after a very short time.
Save your money, though. Wait for another daily deal.
I don't recommend this game.
