The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
I have bought every MCF created and have loved almost every one. I was sadly dissapointed with Return to Ravenhurst due to the morphing objects as opposed to HOS, though considered we all need a change of direction. After the reviews of Return to Ravenhurst and a quick demo with Shadow Lake I felt they had learned a lesson and immediately launched into buying the Collectors Edition. I am sooooooooooooo sad that after such a long wait Shadow Lake is absolutely awfull!!!! Cassandra is so repetitive she nearly drives you insane, mini games are just about non existent unless you class the boring floating jigsaws. The game is not all that long and very predictabe Matching the paper drawings endlessly is also tiresome. The HOS were about the only interesting aspect as items were not all in the same area. I certainly wont be buying another MCF collectors edition any time soon without a better review.
I play so many hidden object games and so to find one that was just a little different and so enjoyable was a refreshing change. I played the whole game on hardcore and admit the puzzles were not that challenging but still enjoyable. The story is lovely and kept me immersed from start to finish.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

As a general rule of thumb I ADORE MCF games. They have always been of the highest quality, fantastic puzzles and good story line. Escape from Ravenhurst is no exception but the morphing items......................Oh MCF what have you done???????!!!!!!!! When the game came out I bought it instantly but now wish I had looked at the demo first. I am struggling because I have bought it and really want to complete it but the morphing items are driving me nuts, I feel I am sitting here with my eyes blurring just waiting for something to change. I have even been using the hint button to get through them and that is something I never do. Please MCF dont do this again. I am doing my rating purely on the game itself overall, morphing aside the story line is excellent and the puzzles are what you would expect from MCF. I am opting out of recommendation due to individual personal choice
