I've just discovered the Secret City games, and I've been binge playing them since I broke my arm in mid-December. (Poor me. I can't do chores, so I'm having to fill my time with video games.) I read so many negative reviews here about this game that I didn't buy it until there were no others to buy. I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually a pretty good game.
Admittedly, some of the puzzle instructions were a little murky, but I managed to figure all of them out. The whole point of playing these games, to me, is the puzzles. And I enjoyed the puzzles. The storyline was good, and it totally made sense if you actually read what's being said. (I play with the sound off, because I'm a rebel like that.)
I WAS a fan of the Delicious games, until they ran out of storylines, and started making the characters act like trailer trash. This game is fun, the storyline doesn't belittle its characters, and the play was challenging. Good buy, especially if you just want a simple, fun storyline.
I'm a big TM fan and have played all the Argonauts games. This is the best in the series, in my opinion. The graphics are excellent and well done and the music is incredible. As one reviewer mentioned, I usually turn the sound off and listen to my own playlist, but the music in this game is so soothing and relaxing, I just love it.
There's no real innovative game play here, if you've played any TM games, then you know what to expect. What sets it apart from other TM games is just how well made it is. The pacing of each level is spot on, the animation is smooth, the challenge level is just right. This is really a good game and I highly recommend it.
I love TM games and feel we don't get enough of them. I was excited to see this game and downloaded it immediately. It's not a bad game, but the pacing on it is way too slow. The characters move too slowly around the map and the resources take way too long to refill.
Other than that, it's your typical TM type game, gathering resources, building bridges, filling in holes, gathering objects, etc. The challenge level is a little on the easy side, but not too much so. There is a relax mode, normal mode, and hard mode. You also have the ability to turn on or off the multiclick option.
I would still recommend this game if you are a TM buff, just go in knowing that the pacing is not what you're used to. Once you get past that, it is a cute game and it will fill my TM itch until another good game comes out.
I am so happy to see a Delicious game finally make it to BFG! This is a very fun TM game, which we see so little of here on BFG any more. It is well paced, good graphics, and fun levels. I highly recommend.
I recommend this game!

I have quite enjoyed this game. It is fun, provides a decent level of challenge, and doesn't take itself too seriously. I've found it's enjoyable as a way to unwind after a long day. If you're not looking for a serious game, but for something to just pass the time and relax, this is the game for you.
A lot of people are complaining about this game, but it is, essentially, the same old Farm Frenzy with a different interface. You can't just instantly jump in and play; I think there was a 5 minute learning curve. I know people hate change, but this really is a fun game. Think of it as you would any other new game, give it a chance, and see if you like the trial.

I have found this to be a pretty decent game. I've had no problems moving forward in the game and enjoyed the challenges, although they see a bit too easy at times. I would recommend if you're looking for a fun, relaxing game.
