This game has a bare bones tutorial that is only marginally helpful. I spent more time hunting for hint leaves than playing the game as a result. Spent the rest of the trial trying to open the basement hatch. What a waste of time as it is unwinnable and you can't skip it. Frustrating to say the least. Will be deleting this one. BFG has been scraping the bottom of the barrel lately. As a very long time customer, this makes me irritated because I expect better.
This franchise used to be fun but has gone down hill faster than an avalanche. As mentioned in another review, one has to actually wait for resources to appear so one can complete tasks. This wastes time and makes it impossible to get 3 stars on levels. I played 10 levels in the demo, then deleted it. That's how bad it is. Normally, this is my favorite genre of game and I've played them all. A total disappointment. Don't bother with this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Finally something different to play that forgoes handholding and has several types of game play, i.e. hidden objects, physical puzzles, etc. You don't need a touch screen either. That reviewer is totally incorrect.
...it was way way too short! I loved this whole series and was excited to see this come out, so I bought it. Thinking I had days of enjoyment ahead of me, I pounded away at the levels. I finished it in 2 days much to my dismay. However, it was still fun and I recommend it.
Normally I'm thrilled by this type of game and usually buy them, sometimes without even playing the demo. However, with this game I decided to play the demo first. Glad I did because the pace is slower than a frozen snail which makes playing it unbearable. Pace is key in this type of game. Deleted the demo after the 4th level because I got bored. Unusual for me as I always give time management/strategy games a chance. Don't bother with this one, not even the demo is worth one's time.
I like puzzle games and am getting tired of the cookie cutter games BF has been churning out lately. I like a challenge but this is ridiculous! Not one iota of instruction. Basic instructions are not "hand holding" but necessary to the enjoyment of the game. When one clicks on the "Need Help?", a useless graphic appears, which I surmise is a map of some kind....perhaps. After spending almost 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do, I gave up. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to use a free game code to buy this because I thought it would be a fun, challenging game...a rarity from BF these days. Normally, I try the demo first, but since I had a lot of free game codes due to expire in the next few days, I stupidly took a leap of faith.....and got seriously burned. I'll admit it's my own fault for not trying the demo first, but I will still petition to get my money back. Save your time and money and skip this one.
Levels are repetitive with the same game play over and over. I wish that companies who design these games, but don't speak English very well, would get an English speaker to review the game before it's released. I strained to find a "trumpet" when it was supposed to be a saxophone. Couldn't find a "nesting box" (the letters were scrambled), when they meant "bird house". The list goes on. Some items are so obscured, one has to use the hint button. I wasted a free game coupon on this boring game. Save yourself the $$ if you're thinking of buying, it's not worth it.
