Agree with Lowest Rating Reviewers. Game in unusually poor taste. BFG, you can do better!! Developers and Artists can better utilize their exquisite talent with a different plot in my humble opinion. Otherwise, I love you BFG!!

Just recently decided to try different games that are not the usual BFG Top Headliners and found the Special Enquiry Detail games to be the proverbial "diamond in the rough".
I always read Gamers' Reviews and appreciate the feedback/recommendations prior to download. Within 30 minutes, I knew this game was for me. Don't watch much television, however, I will tune into Detective, Murder Mystery or True Crimes, therefore, the plot is especially interesting to me as well as being set on Liberty Island, New York City very intriguing.
Although this game has some Dialogue interwoven throughout, I found the brief sentences helpful both in playing the game and expanding the story line. An interactive Map is quite helpful and the HO scenes are bright, crisp and filled with appropriate, clever objects--all of which are added pluses for my sometimes tired and weary eyesight.
If you also are looking for an interesting and unique gaming experience, I highly recommend you give this game a go!!!

Game started out for me so different from all other Hidden Object Games that I decided to make the purchase and venture beyond demo. If you are a Hidden Object Lover, give this game a whirl for sure!!
I really enjoyed this gaming adventure with all HOG's which connect to a narration that is read from a book. If you don't like to read, you can scan the pages, however, you'll miss the plot entirely.
Challenging and truly enjoyable with time limits that allow you to click bonus items which add either to the hints--or add precious minutes to your time clock.
You are stuck in a Hotel where people have gone missing and, with no one else around other than a cat that shows up now and again, you are in the Hotel Elevator which takes you to each floor. Rather than roaming all around the Hotel, the door opens and various rooms hold the Hidden Object Scenes to play through. Mini-games are challenging but not impossible and must be played to advance.
For me, this game was like playing an interactive book and I immediately purchased all the Haunted Hotel sequels!!
If you like something unique and, like me, are wearied with the blood and guts scenes that abound in other games, visit the Haunted Hotel. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

The statues in the Town of Martlet have come alive and are wreaking havoc. You, Royal Detective can navigate with a map among clear, crisp graphics, good music and non-obtrusive sound effects in stereo no less! You also have the little man in the corner, Rupert narrating the story. Collecting Mini-statues, Achievements, Wallpaper, Concept Art, Music, Video are all part of this CE package.
Following other blood, bones, skulls and abducted children games, a 4-headed gnarling beast with red-glowing eyes is a welcome change and a walk in the park! Gave the last and final 5th Star--across the board-- for plain good gaming fun!!

Review based on Standard finished game play. Wish I had purchased CE as I liked the game that much and may still purchase. The Countess IS the Queen of Spades and you, the Detective are exploring actually 2 mansions to gather evidence regarding reports of Missing Persons as well as a missing colleague.
There is a deck of "enchanted" cards you must collect along with other objects within the game. In fact, the reason for some people disappearing is that they, too, ventured into the Mansion in an attempt to collect the enchanted card and never returned! It has been reported than even just one of these enchanted cards will enhance any hand you are playing. This could really come in handy if you're a gambler. Off to Vegas!!
Part of the fun and challenge for me was moving from room to room to explore and make certain you've gathered all 51 of 52 cards until your final scene where you collect the very last card of the deck. Don't watch the game video which spoils the ending somewhat. I did not and received quite a jolt along with other jolts in the game, hence, the gruesome parts!! It is all in good fun, however, as I am a Haunted Legends fan and wish to play more of their games.
Some scenes are dark and foreboding and cluttered. That is the nature of the game and it's all fun and do-able. I enjoyed playing (at night) on an old IBM Think Pad Laptop. Do-dah-do! Do-dah-do! Enjoy! - Mama Mia -

Wow! Who thinks like this?
Many scenes to explore with LOTS of HO's and mini-games. Multiple HO scenes are dark and cluttered with some obscure objects--but not discouraging. I simply took time for my eyes to adjust and used more Hints than usual.
Wth that said, I enjoyed playing this game in it's entirety. Of course, puzzles and HO scenes increased in difficulty nearer to the ending--unless it was my imagination. Some scenes were "gruesome",yet followed the game's theme. Look around for the 52 playing cards to collect!
Purchased, played and enjoyed the Bronze Horseman CE as well, wishing I had purchased this as a CE for Extras and Strategy Guide.

The story continues on a train headed east, as Kate Walker and Hans Voralberg search for a mysterious island known as Syberia.

More intrinsic scenes, lands and characters to savor as we continue the Syberia Journey. Typically, a "good-enough" sequel is difficult to develop especially when following a masterpiece such as Syberia I. Not to be disappointed in this Sequel as we explore deeper into the realms of brilliance in Syberia II. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

This is my favorite Adventure Game of all time. Step into an imaginative world of awesome artwork and computer graphics. Syberia I & the sequel, Syberia II will make an Adventure Game Lover out of anyone!! Follow the walkthrough if you must, but do enjoy this gaming experience!! A "must-have" for Collectors!!

Based on playing full game. Even with the glitch that I had to skip over one puzzle--which is beyond me to do--gave this game FIVE very well-deserved stars. Immersed myself in this sci-fi type plot based on Celtic Lore. The artwork and cut scenes are masterful. Played Advanced Mode with lots of Adventure-type activity and a generous amount--but not too many--hidden object scenes. The scenes were loaded with very cool, creative objects and blended well with story-line. There is some going back and forth, however, the areas are contained with no complicated long jumps. Wow! GREAT GAME!! Onward to Hallowed Legends:Templar! Enjoy!

A fun gaming experience with lots of bells and whistles. Found myself agreeing with other Gamers' Reviews. I lean towards more of a challenge as well and had wished Mr. Tesla would "Silencio!" However, I certainly believe the game deserves a thumbs up Recommendation for the clear, crisp graphics, excellent voice overs and overall pleasant Gaming experience. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
