This is a devilishly good & fun game. Some of the levels are really difficult and you have to plan your moves since you have a limited number. It's not a Haunted House 5, but it's a winner in my opinion. The graphics are fun and colorful which I always like. You buy buildings with stars that you earn. I don't like time management games, but I enjoy "building" things - cities, castles, etc. This has that feature, too. Give the demo a try. I just started playing boards where the pieces pass through portals - very different and interesting. I've been just one or two moves short of completing a level many times, but I learn something with each re-try and finally move on to the next. I'm currently on level 28 and not ready to stop even though I need to get to bed. I keep thinking "Just one more try" especially when I'm just one move shy of winning the level.

When I saw the title of the game, I thought there would probably be some objections; but I enjoyed it and will purchase it. I have other games from BF in this vein. There is an abundance of games dealing with voodoo, black magic, the gods of Egypt, etc. So, it's kind of nice to have a representation from the "flip side" of that type of game. I've seen some games here that I thought were too violent, so I just bypass them and do not purchase. I appreciate the variety of the games at BF. I didn't find any difficulty with the graphics - I play in windowed mode. I like some of the features here that you don't find in a lot of other M3 games - mainly being able to click on an item to make it whatever you want it to be so you can more easily make a match. This is the kind of game that I enjoy while unwinding from a day at work.

I was waiting for someone to write a detailed review since that's not my specialty. I like this series and will be purchasing this game. There is one thing Pennmom36 said that I want to mention in particular since I think it's a bit different from other solitaire games. She said "In the Shop you can purchase items to help you beat a level, and the good news is that they are cheap to buy, however, you can only use them at that exact moment, they can't be saved." This surprised me, but I love the feature. In most solitaire games you have to accumulate hundreds or thousands of points to buy a feature that will help you win a level and you keep that feature or power up for the entire game. The items in this game are around 10-15 (Joker is 7) coins or dollars or points. You buy what you need, when you need it, and use it immediately - no saving feature. I think this is a terrific feature and one of the main reasons I want to get this game. Having to play lots of hands to buy one feature sometimes gets tiresome and frustrating to me, so this feature seems to move the game along smoothly and more quickly. I love playing this kind of game after I get home from work and I just need to cool my jets doing something fun.

This series is one of my favorites - they are always a "must have" for me. Each one has some changes and improvements over the previous one. If the storyline is good, that's a plus; but I would buy the Cursed House games regardless of the storyline. It's the match 3 part that is so wonderful. It is quite similar to the Laruaville series and I buy all of them, too. They are so different and unique from other match 3 games. If you are new to either series, you really need to be aware of how to play them. Otherwise, you probably won't enjoy them at all and you will quit out of total frustration.

This is one of my very favorite kind of M3's. I like building things and M3 "boards" that are really different. Spellarium games have all of those things. If you are familiar with Laruaville, this is the same type of game. There is nothing run-of-the-mill about these M3 games. If you are new to them, you really do need to read the instructions and hints. One of the biggest improvements over the years is how the fire is spread to the frozen coins. It's much easier than it used to be, but still challenging. You have to use explosions, bombs, etc to reach the frozen coins. If you try this game, don't give up too early - it's great.

I'm a jigsaw puzzle junkie so this variation caught my attention immediately. It's amazingly good - different and beautiful. Whoever came up with this one was definitely thinking outside the proverbial box. It's rare to find something really original, but that's what this one is IMO. I worked two of the puzzles and knew it was a buy for me - no hesitation.

I have all of the Laruaville games except the first one. I was thrilled to see a new one. This one plays very smoothly on my laptop. I love the new features, especially the morphing powerups - great addition and wonderfully original. If there is something to dislike about this newest addition to the series, I don't know what it could possibly be. One of the best pieces of advice to remember is that it's all about the coins. Go for the coins and don't worry about anything else on the board. This is a fantastic game and proves again that this series is lots of fun and keeps getting better with each additional installment. The word "addictive" is thrown around a little too much a lot of the time, but it totally describes this game. Also, just for fun, don't forget to click on each of the ghosts, too.
You won't be able to resist the charm of this wonderful Match-3, Hidden Object mash up! Are you ready to join the snails on an exciting garden adventure?

Saying this is a game for children is misleading. I also have the penguin game, so I knew what to expect here. The first several levels are drop-dead easy and quick. I'm on level 42 and by that level, they are very much more difficult than the earlier levels. It starts out for kids, but quickly changes to a much more difficult game where you have to plan ahead and think things through since you have a limited number of moves and may not have enough coins to purchase aids to help you out. The graphics are part of why these games are fun. Now that I have penguins and snails, I doubt that I would buy a third game so similar, but I'm enjoying the challenge of these two games. Many of the "quest" objects are virtually impossible to see. Some of them are 99% hidden behind other objects. I don't believe they should be made to be that difficult to find, so I find what I can and don't go blind trying to find the few that are impossibly hidden.

I enjoyed the first version of this game and this one is even better, as noted by other reviewers. Being able to re-play a level to improve your number of stars is a "must" in my book. Also, the mini-games are a fun addition - more bang for the buck, I think. The cards you buy to aid you in winning really are good and very helpful. The sound effects are fun, too. This is a perfect game to play when you just need something fun and silly to play to shake off a day at work or any other time when you just need to give your brain cells a bit of a vaycay for a little while - although I find it difficult to stop playing. I keep saying "I'll play just one more level" and I keep going and going.

This isn't the best, most challenging game of its type, but I enjoyed it overall. You do kind of do the same thing over and over again on each level, so there isn't a ton of variety. The three power ups are good. You don't earn them; they are automatically there at the beginning of each game within each level. Other reviewers have covered the game in such detail that I won't repeat it. Of course you do get into the Lost Tomb. What upset me, after playing the entire game (mostly as an "unwinder" after a stressful day at work) is that as you enter the tomb, the words "To Be Continued" appear. I wanted to throw a rock at the screen - but I can't afford to buy a new laptop. My level of frustration and irritation went up several notches quite quickly. The reviews here are about a year old and I assume a sequel has never been issued after doing a search through Big Fish. To work my way through a sort of mediocre game and get a "to be continued" was not a happy thing for me. I sort of recommend this game, but only if you know it's not the end of the adventure. If anyone knows of a sequel, please let me know.
