This game had a difference to it. The HOGs were a bit more challenging. Loved the scenery and the music. It flowed very well. Try it! You'll like it! :-)

Don't be fooled, folks, this is NOTHING like the original Dire Grove. (I am still re-playing the original.) I was hoping this sequel would start where the original left off. But sadly, it didn't. The original had a unique style to it. Very few, if any, other games have real life people featured in the game; real video. It was thrilling and exciting to hear the story through the eyes of the stranded, cold and scared college kids. It was awesome! I loved the fact that when you walked around in the snow, you could hear the snow crunching beneath your feet. But this sequel is NOT anything like it. Yes, the graphics and sound quality is good, but honestly, that's it. The storyline is very weak. I bought the game without hesitation....bad choice. If you've never played the original, you may like this. If you have played the original - don't waste your time on this. Sorry developers.

Finally! A game with a different storyline. A child with "special abilities" is kidnapped and you have to help him. I got really invested in the game. I just wish the game would have elaborated more on his special talents and had a little more fun with that. The side games were different and you really wanted to get away from the 'bad guys.' The game was pretty simplistic, but again, a breath of fresh air for the storyline.

As one of the other reviewers said, you got rushed through the game. I wanted to stop and look at scenes and click on things to see if they were usable, but it wasn't allowed. And yes, some screens were just a walk through. Seems like an awful waste of work/talent on graphics that weren't used. I LOVED the scenes - want to use them as wallpaper. Loved the characters. But the game didn't allow you to 'look around' - only to keep moving. I played the demo and I want to buy it, but I won't. I feel this game could have been one of the TOP games of the year, but, it won't be. It's a real shame. I will recommend it - hate to see the developer and artists not recognized.

The editing in this game was not very good, and the ending is the perfect example. I was collecting (3) parts of the rune stone, to finish the game...but, after collecting the 3rd piece, the game went into a cutscene. I thought, ok, this is the end - now to just put the 3 parts together....but, instead, the screen went to black with the big words THE END. That was it, nothing dramatic or climactic - just a cold ending. The game play was good, but nothing outstanding. It started off strong but ended very weakly.

The HOGs were not overbearing. The storyline was just that little bit different. The characters were intriguing. The play time was very long. I really didn't think I was going to love this game as much as I did, but it was great. There were little extras you don't see in other games; instead of just clicking on the list item (in the HOG), there was a little trinket you collected after you found the item. Just a little different - and FUN! A definite recommend.

Love this series! Have been playing it to death for years now. But really disappointed in this installment. It's difficult to see what is needed to do. The charm of the old graphics is replaced with difficult to understand, cold graphics. I bought this without trying it first because that's how much I love this series....I shouldn't have.

I was riveted by this game. The storyline is completely different than any game I've played. Sort of like Jumanji....where the game (in this case, deck of cards) takes on a life of its own. Very well done!

I love scary games, scary movies, scary books....well, you get the point. This game, by far, gave me the creeps. I have been a BigFish player for 7+ years, and this one was definitely creepy. I always felt like something was behind me, just ready to jump out. Excellent graphics. Dark, spooky music that builds volume just at the right points. The opening scene really got me hooked into the game. A+

I don't write a lot of reviews; only if I'm blown away with excellence or highly disappointed. This game was outstanding! Difficult in the easy mode - which I liked, made me think!
