Perhaps it is a technical issue with my PC and this version of Moai since no other reviewers mentioned it, but the response was very slow and lagging. The workers are slow to move and complete tasks, and again the developers changed the locations of assets. As a seasoned Moai player, I managed to complete only three levels in about 50 minutes of the demo, so ultimately I found it to be frustrating and thus boring.

Don't be, at least not in this story. Although they are in the game, they are not the stars of the show, and it's a great show. Use cunning and deduction, not gore and violence, to achieve your goals. The game is clean, smooth, and beautiful. The graphics are top-notch with clear details. The characters and their voices are clear and strong.
If you enjoy the challenge of solving puzzles and finding hidden objects with which to interact, you will appreciate this game, especially the CE edition with the extras that give you more reasons to linger within Legendary Tales.

Playing this first Adam Wolfe game is like being at the cinema engaging in an interactive movie. Adam is well played with voice and dialog that establish him as a character whom you want to know and with whom you do not want to part. With a balanced mix of puzzles, hidden objects, and action, the game play is interesting and flows smoothly. I was thoroughly entertained and did not hesitate to purchase the second in what I hope will be an ongoing series.

This game, as others have written, is a step down from at least two previous editions of the series. Other than perhaps achieving a personal goal, I do not know what the point in finding puzzle pieces and cats in boxes was. Some puzzles were poorly explained, some puzzles had no "info" to explain, at least at the second difficulty level, which is what I played. Some were a challenge; others were not. It was indeed shorter than many games that have earned 5 stars, and the story seemed a bit disjointed, which is why I rate it 4 stars. The HOGs are few and far between. I recommend it if you are looking for a holiday-themed game and have credits to get it free.
