You are reunited with Pam, your significant other, only to have her abducted the following night. You are stuck with a medallion that she brought along from her trip, and that's the only clue you have. Find Pam, and uncover the mystery of some island where she supposedly is now...
The Good:
+ FROG scenes + quite good story, told in comic style in cut scenes + adequate game length
The Neutral:
o some mini games are not explained well, but you are able to figure it out quickly o quite fast hint recharge (you will need it!) o sometimes you are stuck with completed objects and no clue what to do with them
The Bad:
- VERY TINY objects - sound (this marks the first time that I voluntarily turned up the music volume to drown out the blings)
Bottom Line: Good game that apparently aged quite well. There are broad black bars on the side in full screen mode, making visible screen smaller and some objects tiny. The story - while a bit clichéd (your standard Indy Jones one) - held my interest for the 3 hours it took me to complete.
I recommend this game!

You play a journalist who investigates a aurora borealis and runes that pop up all over town. How is Norse mythology linked with those occurances?
The Good:
+ story is okay (although there are some glitches in it) + little used minigames... (runes, photographs) + ...that make sense in the context (although the mobile texts game does not)
The Bad:
- some items tiny and not true to size - story glitch: you are stranded on an island, with no way to get back to the mainland - however, you have to (and do) collect items on the mainland, and the "island location" is drawn on the map as "mainland location"
Bottom Line: The game is okay, nothing more, nothing less. If you are desperate for a new game have a look, otherwise wait until it becomes a daily deal again.

Review based upon completion of the storyline, which happened after 82 levels for me. As for achievements, up to that point I completed 39 out of 47.
An orphanage for fish is about to be torn down by an evil barracuda, and you are supposed to help the mermaid Islabelle to save the building. Judging by the number of puzzles, there are 160 regular levels plus a bunch of "Find 10 of the same thing" levels.
The Good:
+ VERY long game + very funny little stories + achievements + colourful, bright graphics + 20 different puzzles (from easy to getting very tough)
The Bad:
- since you are always looking for the same items in the same rooms the game length can become tedious
Favourite puzzles:
o Nonograms o Puzzles o Untangle Web
Least favourite puzzles:
o Find the Differences o Trivia (three questions about Lagoona, bit boring) o Three Strikes Memory (make three matching mistakes and start over)
Bottom Line: This is not my favourite sub genre since you are more or less always searching the same rooms for the same items that are put back into the scene. Puzzles have 8 levels and can become really tough. (My story ended at level 4 for all puzzles save for the ones that started level 5.) The funny story kept me hooked though.

Christopher Columbus is on his way to India but discovered... no, not America, but a storm that left his ship sunk. In addition he gets saved by a maiden who turns out to be a statue, then a ghost. He has to find a way to save her - and him - within a month.
The Good:
+ decent length + FROG scenes + graphics are good + items are not put back into (most) HO scenes + varied minigames (which are repeated once or twice)
The Neutral:
o junk piles o items not true to size
The Bad:
- Story doesn't make sense sometimes (for example, cleaning the house at the end - you put away stuff that would fit in place but leave the floor littered: Queen Isabella loses her treasury key (yeah right!); said treasure has to be accessed by letting water out of a fountain (yeah right!)
Bottom Line. A twist to Columbus' story with some lengths in it. If you are into basic IHOGs the game is worth a look.

This was a very good, quite long game with a few quirks.
Good points. - Graphics - Voiceovers - nice puzzles - hidden objects quite easy to find - area clear signs in easier difficulty - hints easy to collect (capped at 5) - fun collection of Merrymen - objects seem to be in line with the historic time frame
Neutral points: - Merrymen could have been used more often - not much to do with gold (unless for entry fee for one tournament)
My quirks: - I hate it when history and literature is tampered with
Bottom Line: Once you get over the fact that Robin is a woman it's a great game. Definitely recommended to buy!

Well, apparently you are a journalist, and said unexpected journey happens at the beginning when your editor in chief sends you on a cruise for some interviews. The ship is ambushed by pirates (you will only encounter ONE of them during the story), the rest drags along...
The Good:
+ well, considering the game's age, they tried a story + some HO scenes well done + batteries for insta-load of the hint meter
The Neutral:
o the singer looks like Jennifer Coolidge o static storytelling, no voiceovers
The Bad:
- TINY objects - story drifts off to mystical areas, which doesn't make sense - hardly any sound - you play the usual servant role (but why do I have to collect pictures on a burning ship?)
Bottom Line: I really should stop picking up basic HOGs on Daily Deals.

A mad director wants to complete his last movie. On his island, where not much is what it seems, it's the task of a woman to rescue her mother, an actress, from the clutches of M.W. Vernon before it's too late.
The Good:
+ storyline + large size map + jump function (travel to other parts of the map with one click) + quite unique riddles that are not run-of-the-mill + HO scenes are mostly themed, but usually junk piles + voiceovers
The Neutral:
o on the few HO scenes that repeat, items are placed back
The Bad:
- hint function not always helpful (provides a "There is nothing to do in this room right now", but you still have to do that in every room you visit)... - ...and is buggy (gave the "nothing to do" line in a room where I definitely had to use an item in inventory right at that time) - in one occasion, a task did not update, the room on the map remained green after completion
Bottom Line: I enjoyed the game very much, since the movie director kidnaps star storyline has not been trodden to death yet. Furthermore, the developer tried to provide mini puzzles that are out of the ordinary (laser mirrors, find a given form in a maze of lines, typewriter etc.)

Review based upon the completion of the game with all achievements but one.
This is the second part of the Fix-it-up series. It picks up where we left the characters and then it puts the empire up on a world wide scale. This time around we got bonus levels, achievements and are building a mansion.
The Good:
+ story + extras built in bonus levels make main levels easier + tasks are changing mid-level + challenging levels and achievements
The Neutral:
o Kate is still not the most attractive person
The Bad:
- basic gameplay / buildings still the same as Part 1
The Bottom Line: I liked the game, but it helps if you are interested in cars to appreciate it. There could be more variation in the gameplay, but if you are interested in Time Management / (easier) Strategy I can recommend the game.

So there we have it, the 4th installment of the Treasure Seekers series. We left off when Totenkraft first escaped into another time period and then stole an artifact out of a museum. Now he kidnapped your sister. Consequently you are not playing her until the bonus content. New stuff: A time travel ring - which can be confusing.
The Good:
+ proven concept with the ring around hotspots + clue colour change in HO scenes when you open a smaller area + items generally not hard to find (not too easy either) + diverse riddles...
The Neutral:
o ...but not many of them, unless you count the (very easy) little manipulations to items to free them for "ring searches" o only 4 chapters, making the game shorter o some hotspots not working at first (cutting bars with saw!)
The Bad:
- confusing story - like I said above, time travel can become confusing (usually tasks tell you which time period to go to) - as opposed to earlier games there is now a twirly cursor after too many wrong clicks
Bonus Content:
good length compared to the game - help the siblings and Totenkraft escape a parallel dimension; you are playing with all three characters. I got stuck once even with the hint function until I found a HO scene. The Strategy Guide is just an illistrated list that does not bookmark where you are, leading to a lot of leafing through until you find the correct page. Throw ins are a few concept art and wallpapers, which are low resolution.
Bottom Line: There is an "interesting" twist in the storyline, which makes the game very confusing in the series context. The game left me somehow cold, I enjoyed the others more. Maybe it's also due to the fact that those games are becoming shorter and shorter. My recommendation is to grab the normal version, the bonus content of the CE is not worth the full purchase price.
I don't recommend this game.

Rescue a little girl, which was kidnapped two years ago and vanished without a trace. Apparently she is in another world which can be reached by portals. Some teddy bear who likes to break things is involved.
The Good:
+ find hidden objects by logical category + ...often in smaller parts of the screen + good length (24 chapters) + I saw that kind of twist coming, but still good story
The Neutral:
o graphics dated o not many puzzles...
The Bad:
- ...which tend to repeat often (especially the tangram) - teddy bear became unnerving after a while - especially when he's floating around on a cloud as click penalty
Bottom Line: The game is over two years old, and the graphics show. It still has a good story, so I recommend it for a sale.
