I'm always disappointed when a game does not allow you to name the player. Right off, I was hoping for more with the game, but it has yet to come. If you want to change players, your only option is to restart the game.
Two things that this games does not have that any basic match-3 game should, one a timed and non-timed option and an option to replay a level if you don't achieve the maximum number of stars for the level. For this game, that would be three stars. This game did not have either of these options.
Directions were not great. You are provided your goal for each level, but when you play the level, it looks like there is more that one goal to achieve, obtain 3-stars or reach a certain number for example, 1500. But what's not clear, do you get the numbers before you get the 3-stars. Upon playing, for 30 minutes, I couldn't figure out what was my bottom-line objective. And again, you could not replay the level.
You earned bonus, a good thing, but you also earned other items, but what to do with them.

After playing for 40 minutes, I had to ask myself, "what's the point?" The game was just boring. This is a pretty basic M3 game with little challenge. Match 3 or more items; match more than 4 and you get bombs; match over gold plates to end the game; break one or two chains; that's it. I played in timed mode. You can purchase power-ups, but you have to earn a couple of thousand points or objectives. After playing 40 minutes, I still had not earned more than 400-600 items in any one of four categories.
A game has to be really bad for me to give it a "not recommend." This was not the case with this game.
I give this game a recommendation with reservations.

The best thing about this game was the visual and sound quality.
My feedback is based on playing the entire demo.
What makes it just an OK game. The good news. The game has a lot of interaction in both the game play and the hidden object scenes. During the demo, I covered 2 or 3 chapter out of the total, about 12 15 can't remember. During this time, there was one hidden object scene. I'm thinking this might be more of an adventure game with actions to perform and hidden object scenes are a minimum. Other interactions require you to find pieces of a object and there are magic spots where you have to use a special tool to activate. You can skip when doing mini-games. These actions may the game better than OK.
But why CE and not more then an OK game. The instructions for mini-games were not that great. There is a map that jumps you to scenes with objectives. You earn the map about a quarter of the way through the first chapter. I had to use the map often to jump because the game doesn't seem to have a sound strategy for what to do next. The hidden object scenes are easy, but not necessary for this game. There seems to be an attempt to cover all that game players might like in a game, but maybe too much of this without do any one thing done to rate above a 3-point rating.
Not a game for me, but others might like it.
Recommend with reservations! I wish there was an option for this level of rating.

OK, so this is just another Big City Adventure, but they are all so much fun to play. This one has some differences. You collect a camel in each scene. I've only played 20 minutes of the game so only a couple of mini-games, but the first one was different then that in other BCA games. As usual, you collect coins throughout the game. The graphics in this one is some of the best of their games. Finding objects will be somewhat of a challenge, which makes this one of the best in this series.
When you just want to play a hidden object game without all the "drama" this series is the way to go.
Not much of a storyline, but who cares. lots of hidden object scenes which is what you expect from this series.
I've been waiting for the developers next game in the series so I'm off to purchase.

I really enjoyed this game. What I like best about this game is that it reminds me of an adventure game without the hassle of trying to figure out what to do next. The storyline is pretty good and the artworks/graphics are excellent. The hidden object scenes are very interactive. In other words, you have to perform actions to find all the objects in the scene. There are mini-games that are pretty easy. The map allows you to jump to scenes with objectives. You can use the hint option to find out what to do next if you can't figure that out. There are achievements and coins to find throughout the game.
With the day's deal (half-off) this was a must buy for me!

This is the first time that I purchased a game by this developer. They seem to have done their homework to put together a game this has both challenge, diversity of game play, and a good storyline. Kudos to the developers.
It's good to see that the "victim" is not a female, but the father of one of the main characters who has gone missing with a number of town folks and who are being sought after by the daughter and the "detective."
In addition to the hidden object scenes being interactive, they are also of a different variety. While all have interaction, some you have to fine a number of the same objective (for example find 12 shell#, others you may have to find all the pieces of an object, and still others are find the symbols that are posted as a story is being told. I love it!
Throughout the story, their are "fireflies" to find #I think there are at least 4 sets in each scene) with a total of 168 to find to get extra storyline when you finish the game.
The map is also interactive, letting you jump to the scenes that have objectives to complete.
When you have to reach something that is out of reach, you have a helper to get it for you.
This is a wonderful game to play and I completed the demo wanting to play more.
I'm off to purchase.

What I Liked -- I'm a fan of the story I enjoyed seeing all the characters as they appeared throughout the game. The graphics were pretty good in the storyline scenes and the hidden object scenes were a bit challenging (good news and bad#. There are a number of puzzles throughout that are not difficult #again, good and bad news).
What I Didn't Like So Much -- The Hidden object scenes are a bit dark and objects are really hard to find. I typically don't use the hint for these scenes, but in the very first scene, I had to use hints a couple of times. The appearance of the Cheshire Cat throughout all of the hidden object scenes was a bit too much. While he gave you facts about the storyline, characters and the author of the story, I would have preferred this to appear somewhere else in the story. A lot of reading and no sound.
Mixed Feelings -- If you like hidden object games and nothing more, this is an OK game for that. Without a doubt, I think kids would like this game, adults, not so much. The puzzles are pretty easy. Kids yes, adults, maybe.
I'm recommending this game, but, with a big maybe on my purchasing.

If you've played the other Build-a-Lot games and enjoyed playing them, you will enjoy this one as well. I was not disappointed. While there is not much new, I've always loved these games. They have added something new. You will find items throughout the game as you play. I don't know what they're for, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
As usual, not much of a storyline (who cares, smile). You build houses, upgrade them and build other supporting buildings along the way. The graphics are always good. Sound is always optional for me. I leave it on when playing B-A-L games because it helps me moving faster throughout the game.
I only played 4-levels before I decided that I had to purchase the game.
I looking forward to what other surprises might be waiting for me throughout the game play.
If you have never played BAL games, this is a good one to start with.

I have really enjoyed playing this game. I played in timed mode and you really have to think about your moves before you go into action. I have had to play a level more than once just to get 3-stars. As time management games go, I put this game in my top 5.

This was a great game to play. There is a lot to do. Match-3, hidden objects, find items during the Match-3. The graphics are well done and there is even a good story being told. Thanks for bringing us a great Match-3. I've been waiting and waiting.
