This game reminds me just how good Match 3 titles can be. The graphics are not what most would consider "high resolution" by today's standards but they are high resolution for a casual game. There is a great deal of smoothness, style, color and lack of pixelation which is beautiful and impressive. The game has a story (although kind of weak), cut scenes, power upgrades, trophies, and best of all a solid and fun gameplay dynamic. If you've played any match 3 you can pick this up in a second, but what's so great about this one is the fact that it builds on many previous match 3 iterations by allowing a progressing change in gameplay as you advance levels. The music is also wonderful, which is another pleasant surprise because a lot of "casual" games are sorely lacking in quality soundtracks. Definitely worth a game credit, do not miss out on this rare gem from BFG.
At first glance this game looks like it might be great. It supports widescreen monitor resolutions, which is a big plus because most BFG titles only run in the 4:3 square aspect ratio and do not fill out the entire screen unless you manually stretch the image with your video settings (but this looks ugly). Unfortunately, this is the only real plus this game has. The graphics appear clear, but the art style is kind of ugly, but that's just my personal taste. As other have said, the game is clearly modeled after Plants vs. Zombies, and it is done so rather poorly. The game's pace is really disjointed. Some levels are slow and sluggish while others require you to be utterly frantic with your building. It's too easy to lose a level because once your end line of defense has been breached once, it's all over. The enemies are bland as are the towers, and the music is annoying as anything. The story is weak as well. It just couldn't keep me entertained in the way it should. I uninstalled after only a few levels. On a final note, it seems to also be poorly programmed, as there were several instances when the game stuttered and jumped. This should not be happening as I am running the game on a high end gaming PC. I had hopes for this one, but it just fell short on so many levels.
This is one of the best large file type adventure games available from BFG. It really should have a demo version since a lot of people might overlook it because they can't try it before buying. Despite this, I was blown away by this game. I usually don't like relaxed, puzzle heavy games such as this, but this one really held my attention. The graphics while not exactly photo realistic, are definitely a cut above, and the game engine works extremely well. There is some exploration, item gathering, and story advancement aspects to the game, but the majority of the gameplay occurs within puzzle solving. The soundtrack is quite good as it suits the mood of the game perfectly. The only criticism I'd give to that is the fact that the music repeats a bit too frequently for my liking. The game is quite lengthy so it is well worth a purchase. People who love puzzle solving and don't mind a challenge (the game is reasonable difficult once you've advanced through the first through puzzles) that might keep their attention for some time will love this game. Stay away if you don't like relaxed, slow paced, intellect challenging puzzles. Highly recommended.
I recommend this game!

Plants vs Zombies
Think fast, and plant faster, to stem a zombie attack! Save your home, and your brains, in this exciting Action/Arcade game!
At first when you start into this game it seems very entertaining and attention grabbing, but unfortunately I found that as the levels progress there is a certain monotony that sets in. Almost always a robust and varied set of levels is welcomed in video games, but I find that Plants and Zombies takes it a bit too far, which I'm sure will please some while displeasing others such as myself. There simply is too much crammed into this game to make it flow comfortably. There are so many levels and so many different types of units/towers that it creates for a frustrating and drawn out game experience. I realize that strategy and time management aficionados will love this particular aspect of the game and all the more power to them, since the replay value could potentially be unmatched among tower defense games. Ultimately, the overall atmosphere of the game (GUI) although charming, is not my favorite tower defense setup. It's definitely a fun game but it becomes tiresome after a while which makes playing through the entire game difficult unless one is a diehard fan of the genre. All in all I'd have to say that I am missing something here that a lot of others just seem to "get". Make it's the super easy accessibility of the game among its genre (tower defense) or maybe it's just the charm, or maybe it's both. I'd recommend Island Defense, Monster Mash, or Toy Defense over this any day, but it's still a good game.
I'm quite surprised there are so many reviewers criticizing this game for being unlike previous Luxors. This may be true, but I find it's definitely for the better. I was never a fan of the first few Luxor games (there are tonnes of them) but I immediately took a shine to Luxor Evolved. It's a more fast paced version of the marble popper, which is funny because I find it to be less hectic and frustrating than the other ones. The graphics are nothing special but the game does offer full widescreen/HD monitor support which is a huge plus. The controls are fantastic and the gameplay is engaging. If you don't normally like marble poppers, give this one a try. If you do, then all the more reason to try it too!
I recommend this game!

Toy Defense
Test your courage and skills as a military leader at the height of World War I Toy Defense!
I find myself questioning whether or not I'm playing the same game that some of the other reviewers are. Some of the complaints given to this game are nonsensical, but I've seen them made before which leads me to believe there are quite a few players out there who simply do not understand how a tower defense game works. There is a lack of instruction in this game, but if you have ever played a tower defense game before, you would be able to figure this one out quite easily. I had NO difficult whatsoever getting the hang of the game, in fact I find it's actually more straightforward and easier to play than a few other tower defense titled I've tried in the past. The graphics are great for the genre and the control scheme is very good. The only thing that could improve the easy of play would be a larger, custom cursor. The game has tonnes of levels, great unit upgrades, and exciting gameplay. Easily the best tower defense game I've played in a long time.
The gameplay isn't fast paced enough to make the concept of this game work properly. Technically it's a match 3, but it really doesn't play like one. I was bored after playing for 10 minutes so I just uninstalled it.
I don't recommend this game.

Monster Mash
Defend the fairy-tale world of Curly Valley from an invading horde of monsters in this addictive and strategic romp.
Along with Island Defense, this is one of the BEST tower defense games available from BFG. The gameplay is great through and through, but the graphics are definitely dated. The story is pretty weak, but that's not why anyone plays a tower defense game anyway.
I know I didn't say much, but trust me, this is one of the best offerings BFG has as far as strategy games go. Definitely worth a purchase.
Yet another diamond in the rough from BFG! Several criticisms have been given to this game and although they are not entirely untrue, they do not seem to hinder the game for me the way they did for others. Yes, the pace of the gameplay can drag a bit at times, but this can be true of other tower defense games. Yes, the graphics are tiny and require precise clicks, but they're not nearly as bad as others have suggested. The difficulty of this game is completely customizable, so those who found it too difficult likely do not understand or enjoy tower defense games. All in all, the graphics, gameplay, and sound are fantastic, and this game was well worth the use of a game credit. I have beaten 3 of the 7 missions and I intend to finish the whole game. Highly recommended to strategy game enthusiasts.
The visuals and audio of this game are great, which sets a nice atmosphere for the story, but unfortunately that's the best part of this game. Overall for an adventure game, it is way too short, and considerably easy in comparison to other adventure games. You can beat this game in an afternoon. The biggest problem is the story - it's dreadful. The dialogue is terrible and runs on at great length when in the end no reading of the story is required to complete or understand the game. It's convoluted and boring, so I found myself clicking past the dialogue toward the end of the game just to speed things up. If the game were twice as long it might make up for the poor story and weak difficulty level. Overall, I'd recommend it but don't expect to get more than a couple hours of fun out of it.
