just finished reviewing island castaway. love it. i played both games in sequence over two days and was sorry to see them end. there was a to be continued, i hope so. the story explains what happened to the island at the hands of the evil white men. i don't want to get too into the story and spoil it for you. it is as well acted as the first and the characters and story line are as compelling if not more. i even got a tear or two at the end. loved these games and really hope that there are more.

i throughly enjoyed this game and the sequel the island castaway2. i played them both in two days after getting the island for $2.99. turns out i had purchased island 2 in 2011 but never played it! the story is excellent, compelling and very well acted. the games flows one into the next, the story line carrying through. you control one main character and perform tasks as asked or needed. you hunt and fish and garden and gather to feed yourself. hunting and fishing require some practice but are really fun once you get it. there are chapters but not levels and its not timed. if your character runs out of energy or is attacked by a boar or spirits or snakes, he doesn't die, but looses some items and gets transported back to the village. you can buy and sell items to get whats needed to complete tasks or quests. everything is immediate, or if there is a wait time, its short and you can accomplish something else while waiting. i loved everything about this game. island 2 also said continued at the end, at a very critical point. i hope they meant it. i want to know what happens next.

the graphics are crisp and clear, the characters are large enough so that you can see their faces, and the music isn't awful. i bought this game because i love tm games. this is a very good one, but not great. it follows the clear and build format, with a princess to rescue at the end. there are power ups but they are basic. you can earn up to 3 stars per level, but the game allows you to finish even when the timer runs out. i really like that because, even though the game is basic, it is challenging in later levels. it kept me amused during a spring snow storm, its worth playing.

i'll only review this episode but i highly recommend the entire series. i love tm games but usually never finish restaurant themed tm's because they all seem to become repetitive click fests w/o much of a story. the delicious series has an ongoing story line that continues throughout the series. its a unique story in many ways, it doesn't follow the usual bad banker or evil developer trying to steal the family's homestead, but rather deals with day to day events in the life of a young couple, from the wedding to the first child and all that's involved. it will really keep your interest. Emily and her family get involved in a variety of restaurants. the clicking is down to a minimum and you can tailor your menu to suit the tastes of the customers you expect that day. this will increase your profits. its challenging but doable, there are upgrades you can buy, adorable customers, in level challenges to earn extra points and a cute little mouse to find to boost your score. i would suggest playing them in order, wedding, honeymoon and new beginnings. i'm pretty sure you will enjoy emily and her family as much as i did. they are NOT what you might expect.

i only finished the first 3 levels before i couldn't take the out dated space music any longer. the game was a basic match 3 with power ups, no real story line and the most awful music. i usually like match 3 but this one just didn't make it. maybe it gets better as it goes along,so you may want to try it.

this game is a little different. it requires planning and knowing how to equip yourself to gather the needed supplies in some of the levels. i'm a big tm fan and i play them all, but this one kept me on my toes more than most. i had to restart several levels after i realized i hadn't activated the proper equipment. you can cue tasks even in the untimed mode. the story line is interesting and there are skills to learn like weaving and furniture making. victoria is a welcome change from the usual heros. its good to see a woman in charge! i did have some trouble installing the game, but i was worth it. i'm looking forward to a sequel.

i think that this is the best game of the series. the storyline is exceptionally well developed and interesting with plot twists and surprises. the game play is like the first two with the addition of switchable worker shacks which makes things easier. the graphics are excellent, but i do wish they had added some new plants and flowers. enjoyed the boat house and the water. the maze and coin collecting levels were enjoyable even though i wasn't very good at catching a lot of coins. i think those who enjoy tm and strategy games will love this one.its fun to prepare for the wedding and buying improvements with your earnings.
I recommend this game!

there are very few instructions which makes the game frustrating. you complete very easy, small (4-6 objects), hos, earn items and cash, but how much isn't clear, complete collections and unlock new rooms. it reminded me of a big fish ipad app Mansions something. you can't progress until you earn the requirements for each new room but they don't tell you how to do this. you can kill monsters that are floating around the castle, but you have to figure that out yourself too. i found the hos way too easy and the lack of clear instructions too frustrating to recommend this game. the are work was nice though.

the graphics and clip scenes were clear, crisp and 3d. the characters were interesting, your little helper, the nutcracker, had many skills, including oerating heavy equipment. the ho scenes were varied and fun. there were interactive fairy tales, place the objects, and more. you have to figure out what you are looking for in some of the hos but thats part of the fun. this game seems more interactive to me. the spoken dialogue is excellent. im not a hos fan, but this game was so unique and fun to play that i bought it.

i usually don't review a game i don't like but this game bothered me. its not really a christmas game despite the christmas themed graphics. if the developers subsitituted jackolanterns, skeletons and graveyards for the tinsel, i might have enjoyed the game more. the grapics and voice overs are good. the game play is easy, the story is sad. i[m sure all comes to good in the end, but after finishing the demo in less than 40 min. and meeting the very woe begone little boy waiting for his mom, i decided not to purchase the game. it seems like many people liked it, but it was just not for me.
