I read all the other reviews, and the only one I really agreed with was the the one that said this game was torturous. I have played many HOS games with beautiful graphics, and this game did have those but that is where my positive comments end. I found the story line to be boring, and there was a lot of wandering around just to find a few objects. I found the whole setup of this game confusing. There were no real hints except to tell you an area to go to (if you could even understand where that was.Trying to find the place they were speaking of was very confusing. I have left and come back to play this game in an attempt to finish it, but every time I do, I just get aggravated. There is no Walkthrough available which may have made it more tolerable. For now...I quit!
I don't recommend this game.

I played the trial, and decided to buy the game. As the game progressed, I found it to be tedious, and there were too many HOS to play where things were hard to click on. The mini games were ok,, but the story line was not very interesting. The occasional appearance of the mystery woman was annoying, as were some of the flashes of light in the scenes. The ending was not very climactic, and I was left with saying "Is that it?" when the story ended. I don't use sound so I can.t judge it, but I can only imagine that the voice overs would be annoying. One of the few games I really regret buying!
I don't recommend this game.

I was just randomly choosing games to play that have a dark story line with the type of graphics I like, and I had such a great time with the demo, I purchased it. I love games that deal with spirits, fantasy, good vs evil, breaking spells, and this game has it all! Being used to more medieval settings, being in the swamps where voodoo is practiced was a pleasant change. Exploring the various settings and figuring out puzzles to get ingredients for mixing to cast spells was challenging. The final ending to the story was great! Wish there would be another game developed by the creators of this one to pick up the story theme and keep it going. I cannot comment on the sound quality as I tend to go back and forth between playing and watching an interesting TV show, or listening to what others are doing around the home.
I recommend this game!

I only played the trial version of this game, but what I did play was really boring, the hidden objects were ridiculous to find. and it just dragged.

This game has everything enjoy in my favorite type of game (Hidden Object); The story line is dark, the scenes' art is dark, eerie and well drawn, giving a creepiness to the scenes (I love gothic old buildings, cemetaries, tombs, with spirits). There were a lot of clues to find and puzzles to solve..I did have to refer to the Walkthrough sometimes to figure out what to do next, as the hints don't give you details in the Casual mode. All in all; this game was lots of fun and I certainly recommend it...It plays like a Collecters's Edition, but only costs the same as a regular one.
I recommend this game!

I played the trial version of this game (so glad I didn't buy it), and was bored from the start. I found nothing creepy or dark here (not like some of the really good dark gothic stories that have amazing artwork ). There were too many written things to read rather than the story playing itself out. There were too many of the same monotonous puzzles to solve. Nothing drew me into the story, and I played the full 60 minutes only to kill time.
I don't recommend this game.

I was thrilled to play this game...First one that I played since getting my new laptop fans; first one that didn't shut my computer down due to overheating. I am not a pro at Hidden object games, but love the Collector's Editions that give you lots of scenes to explore, puzzles to play, all while following an interesting story line. This game gave me hours of fun play; the visual graphics were really good (I don't use the sound on the games, so can't comment on that). It was great having the strategy guide available right there to click on without exiting the game. I would definitely look into playing more games by this developer!
I recommend this game!

I am used to the Hidden Object games that have a story line with quests with HOBs to find and mini game, puzzles. I did not even get out of the first room to explore...The game should have offered a tutorial in the beginning so that one knew that hitting the spacebar would help reveal objects to view.(got that tip from the blog)...I think hints should be offered to those who need them; at least what you were supposed to be doing. Switching between a walkthrough guide and playing does not cut it. Maybe I'll try this again at a later date; maybe these types of games just aren't my forte. I love Return to Ravenhearst and those types of games...Wish there had been a trial to play before I bought it. I see a lot of others have enjoyed this game, so I will try it again at a later date...Maybe I just need a bit of patience!
