A girl has been murdered, leaving a note that blames two police officers! Follow the clues and clear their names in this match-three hidden object adventure!
I'm not going to go into how the music sounds or the quality of graphics or storyline because the game playing trumps talking about the usual.
There are sooooooo many 'bonuses' right from the beginning you don't have to play the game at all. And it didn't get any better or harder as you played the higher levels. In fact, it got worse. By worse, I mean the game played itself on one level. How? I activated ONE 'bonus' which activated another bonus, which created more bonuses, which were activated by all the other exploding bonuses. There were so many BAMS! and BOOMS! and KABLAMS! the game literally played itself out to the end of the level.
THAT is not a fun game for me.
So, I disliked it IMMENSELY. I don't give 1 star ratings because the words with it are 'hated' it and 'hate', to me, is a very very very harsh word so I gave it an overall 2 but it deserved no stars. I don't want a game that can play itself.
Try the demo if you have time to waste …. maybe it's your cup off tea.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and it is NOT a purchase for me.
Overall Rating is 2 because I dislike the word 'hate' or it would have 1 star.
Fun Factor is 1 because there IS no fun in this game. You can't see the numbers that are necessary for you to fill in the grid!
Visual/Sound Quality is 1 because I can't see the numbers that are necessary for you to fill in the grid! I had sound turned off.
Level of Challenge is 5 because I can't see the numbers that are necessary for you to fill in the grid thereby making this an incredibly challenging game.
Storyline is 1 because there is no 0, What storyline? Maybe because I couldn't get past the first few levels I didn't get a story.
There you have it. My scores explained. I couldn't get beyond the first few levels because ….. let's say it together …. I couldn't see the numbers that are necessary for you to fill in the grid.
Sigh. I REALLY wanted to like this game. Clearly, someone wasn't paying attention to the very important details.
Not a buy for me …. not going to recommend it either.
I have to say straight off …. I've not been too impressed with past Christmas Wonderland games because the items were too tiny to see or there was so much mish-mash you couldn't find anything and it became frustrating. This one has improved greatly in my opinion.
The graphics are really good. Things are clear and I didn't have problems finding anything. Old eyes love that - lol. The music was soothing and not irritating. I also enjoyed that.
The gameplay was fantastic!!! Not just hidden object but memory games, puzzle games and more! So much fun!
I don't believe anyone could get bored playing this game because there's just so much variety. This is actually such a plus for me that I'm definitely going to put it on my Christmas List!
I would recommend this to young and old alike as well as families. A great tradition to start in anyone's game list.
I haven't posted a review in a very long time but I had with this game.
I dislike it! I don't like using the word 'hate' or I would have given this 1 star. I dislike it that much.
The graphics of the finished picture is …. awful. When you finish a row the unfilled blocks are white! Glaring, blinding white! In some cases, there is actually a white color to 'paint' with AND the white unfilled blocks next to each other. Confusing much??? I'll say.
I purchased this game without playing the demo and today I finally played it. Wolf Stories was GREAT! Challenging, fun. This is neither challenging nor fun.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It's horrible.
Color and sound quality were great. I DO, personally, turn off the sound fx and music after a few minutes.
The MAIN concept of the game is fairly self-explanatory ….. match gems ….. obtain money ….. use money to 'buy' upgrades and build your city.
So …. match 3 or more gems ….. chains need more than 1 match ….. destroy the spider …. which seems totally out of place in this game ….. use power ups/booster to help complete the levels ….. and more along the same lines.
Completing the levels seems to take a VERY long time. I think I played about 8-10 levels before I timed out (the hour demo).
Now, the more important nuances of the game...….
The story has HUGE gaps in it..... HUGE … so unless you KNOW the story or are prepared to read it to fill in the blanks, this isn't going to be entertaining at all.
I kept the tutorial 'on' and, again, HUGE gaps in actual tutelage. Right from the beginning I had questions about certain power ups/boosters and what was happening on the board. Questions that never seemed to get answered.
I think this is going to be a short game because I was well into Chapter 2 (of 5 chapters) when I timed out.
I wanted to love this game. Even if it turned out to be really simplistic and meant for the younger set. Unfortunately, with the huge gaps in the story and unreasonably long time to complete the levels I couldn't be prompted to purchase it. IMO with some tweaks it couild be a great game .... a great learning tool. As it is .... not so much.
For this reason, I am not recommending this game to anyone.
First of all, this game is exactly as described … a paint by numbers.
I turn off the music and sound so I can't comment on that.
There are a number of features. For instance, you can enlarge or minimize the entire picture as you need/want to or, in the alternative, you can enlarge or minimize SECTIONS of the picture if you want/need to. You can double-click and the entire section of the number you are working on will be colored in …. you DO have to wait for this feature to 'recharge' before you can use it again. When the picture is completed, you will more easily the beautiful piece of art you've created!
Everyone talks about the butterfly. Yes, it is a PERFECT example of how large these pictures can get. And, also, how just as easily PORTIONS of the picture can be enlarged as you work on them. Just like a real paint by numbers kit.
You definitely aren't going to be a Picasso playing this game. But, if you like painting by numbers and/or like/need mindless entertainment, this will be perfect for you. Unfortunately, I found it way too monotonous and, therefore, will not be purchasing it.
I am quite the lover of M3 games so I was happy to see this being offered today.
Always a plus when there's a storyline which you can read on the game page. Graphics are a bit dark but the game board was large enough for these old eyes to play comfortably. I had the sound/music muted so I cannot comment on them.
Make matches of 3 or more to gain bonuses ..... with a few twists to the game. You must find items such as a crowbar, etc. in order to unlock more game boards in each level. You will also need 'keys' to unlock chests that contain many useful items you will need during your game play.
There is a map in the lower left corner of the game board which you can refer to.
I would definitely recommend this for all levels of experience. And for those who have played Runefell or SilverTale this game is reminiscent of those. Because of that it was an immediate purchase for me.
The only reason I did not give this game 5 stars is because of the dark graphics. Otherwise, it is a real winner IMO.
I have been on the lookout for a really good solitaire and haven't really seen any for several years. This game has it all!
Graphics are amazing! You are playing on a great ball field. Music appropriate for a baseball game. Sound fx ---- happy sigh --- close your eyes and listen to the narrators and you'd think you were watching a real game on a Sunday afternoon!
The storyline surrounds a rookie ball player, that's your character, trying out for the big leagues. Can he/she/YOU do it??
There are so many choices you have to make BEFORE you even play the game! Voice: Male/female. Character: Choose 1 of 10 male or female characters to be! Cursors are so cute (ok ... I'm a girl and I like 'cute'). Baseball and glove, baseball bat, the big orange finger and even a hotdog! The fun doesn't top there because you can choose 3 different card faces and several different backs! Then, do you want to play casual, medium or hard. I play casual because, well, I want to enjoy the game and not be inundated by it. But, you choose what you want!
While you're playing this hi-low solitaire game, the narrators are talking, the music is playing, the crowd is cheering ..... and, oh no! You'd made mistake .... maybe clicked on the wrong card, STRIKE ONE the umpire cries (yeah, he really does!). Stay on your toes .... OH NO! Another mistake and you cringe as the umpire hollers STRIKE TWO! Keep your cool because if you get 3 strikes you are OUT and have to restart the hand! This is so cool!
There are cards that help you (money to buy items in the Store) and special cards to unlock your game play when your cards get locked out. If you complete the hand and get those 4 baseballs you move on to the next hand (120 in all I believe). But, don't complete the hand .... just not hitting the right cards, making too many mistakes, whatever happens,, and you have to either restart the game or skip it. Don't skip it .... puuulllleeeezzzeeeee! There are also cards that initiate ...... a MINI-GAME! Who does NOT love a mini-game?!?!? Oh, and the tutorial is very helpful (grin).
I would recommend this game for all levels of expertise. Boys and girls of ALL ages and families too! You cannot go wrong here. The game starts and I'm right there ready to win, win, win and get those HOME RUNS! Most of all, IMO, this game makes me smile and be happy. How can you lose with a game like that? This is an absolute, definite, for sure purchase for me!
Come join me at the stadium for a few innings, then decide if you are having the time of your life ... or not.
With a cute storyline to keep me engrossed in playing the game, I am off to free the spritling fairies.
Graphics are good, clear, colors beautiful. Music is appropriate fairy type music (smile) with sound fx that don't annoy.
It's a match 3 (M3) game that totally involves you in how to win. Besides matching against limited moves and time, there is a path you need to follow. However, the shortest path, or designated game path, is not always the best path. Good thing you can create your own. I had a bit of a problem with this to begin with.
I like my M3 games to be enjoyable and, above all, relaxing. IMHO this game misses that mark. Not only am I trying to plan a route for my little fighter to follow to get to the spritelings, I am working against limited moves, which is not my greatest forte. Too much thinking for this player, so it won't be a buy for me.
For those who enjoy the complexity of this type of M3 .....
After Rupert and Emma receive a mysterious message, from their old friend Hani that the Jewel Boards were in danger, the duo must work fast to save both the jewel boards as well as Hani. But can they do both?
I love a good match 3 game just as much as the next person . And I did enjoy playing this game .... for about half a minute.
Things I Enjoyed: * Graphics were nice.
Things I DID NOT Enjoy: : * No choice of difficulty or type of game (i.e., move limits, relaxed, timed, etc.) * Music and Sound could be turned ON or OFF but not turned down. * No explanation of why I was only getting 1 or 2 stars instead of 3. After all, I completed my goal for that level. * If I DID NOT meet my goal for a particular level, I had to 'retry' until I did. There is no option to just give up and move on. * No discernible bonuses to help you along ... like bombs, etc.
Each level had a goal .... ring the bell and turn all tiles gold in 2 minutes ..... (there is a LOT of bell ringing in this game) .... turn all the tiles gold and get 3 midas touches in 2 minutes ...... do whatever in a limited number of moves ..... etc., etc.
If you like playing with a gun to your head (so to speak) trying to make what to me were sometimes impossible goals, then this game is for you. If you just want a relaxing game of match 3 ..... give it up. I lasted through to level 9 and after 'retrying' half a dozen times ... and my head starting to pound ... I gave it up and uninstalled.
