I thought this game was challenging enough, played on the harder level, but didn't have to go to the blog walk through. Hint button was not much help, only on a couple of occasions. Overall I did enjoy the game.
I enjoyed this game although the interruptions from the characters or other frequent popups became annoying later into the game.
I recommend this game!

I enjoy watching this as a show on TV, but I think following the TV pretty closely does not make for a great game. I too skipped most of the dialogue, but I did like that fact that the items follow the theme of the game, i.e. antiques and such, instead of cell phones and keyboards in a building that hasn't been opened for 20 years. I find that problem a lot of HOG games. The BUY sequences got tedious and repetitive, not interesting in a game, but again, interesting on the TV.
One of the reasons I like these games is that they have a lighter feel to them, still a bad guy, but not so dark and depressing and you get to return things to normal. I thought the ending was a bit of a let down, but other than that I enjoy the feel of this series of games, not the same tragic, dark, totally depressing feel that is getting over played and boring.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I love the MCF games but this one stepped over the line in my book into the gross realm, I will definitely think twice about buying another one, especially if it has the warning about content. I didn't really mind the morphing objects, it was a change and I enjoyed it in Malgrave. No text or instruction on either the mini games or in the guide was a problem in some areas. The excessive running back to the beginning of the game got boring.
Overall, I think I'm starting to lose interest in many of the HOG games just because it's always a dark, depressing, menacing scenario, been there, done that, it's getting old. Someone needs to come up with a setting that is new and refreshing, like the Drawn games, not so dark.
