This game has a pleasant mix of HOG & FROG elements plus puzzles that were a little on the easy side, but not annoyingly so. The soundtrack was a bit annoying but I find very few games that I don't eventually turn the sound off.
The visuals were nice. I like more "illustrated" style games versus super realistic. I do wish the hidden object scenes were a little less junkpile-esque and it was also jarring at times to see modern items in ancient China. That to me is a constant annoyance in HOGs--keep it time specific game developers! And what is the fascination with snakes? Why must they always include snakes? *shudder*
I recommend this game!

It's on sale right now for $2.99 and that is a huge bargain! This game is well worth it--I paid game club price for it. The entire Dark Parables series is visually gorgeous and this storyline is actually entertaining. The puzzles were interesting enough although some of them could have been a little more challenging.
I recommend this game!

I'm a little tired of the gloom & doom HOGs but this series is well worth it. The graphics are always gorgeous and the puzzles are usually interesting.
There was a little too much running back & forth from place to place, but that was a minor quibble. The storyline is a little on the meh side, but that's never a big consideration for me, so it didn't make much difference to me.
I recommend this game!

This game isn't super difficult, but it is fun anyway. I like personalizing the characters. Mine has blue hair because she is that punk rock. It's fun to go back and play with different career paths. It is a little predictable and it would be nice to have some alternative lifestyles like married with no kids.
I recommend this game!

This is definitely not the best installment of the Snark Busters series. It suffers a little bit from sequel-itis, but it's still a solid, well built game and was fun to play. I don't mind the pop-up FROG mechanics that some of the other reviewers have objected to.
There were a couple of times when I couldn't remember what room the object I had found belonged in. I found myself grumbling a few times as I retraced my steps and jumped back and forth between portals. The photo conceit is a wee repetitive, but hey, our heroine IS a photographer, right?
If you couldn't figure out the storyline in under a minute and figure out the ending then you've never read a book or seen a movie--it was SO predictable. Still, it was cute.
This game IS short but I had a good time. I don't regret my purchase.
I recommend this game!

Like other reviewers I got sucked in because the demo was fun and the graphics were really fantastic.
Unfortunately, this game got really tedious rather quickly. The meters take FOREVER to fill up. Which is good if you're just mindlessly trying to kill some time. It's one of those "I've got 15 minutes until the pizza is done and I don't feel like watching teevee" kinds of games. Definitely not even worth $6.99 game club price. Might be okay on daily/weekly sale.
I don't recommend this game.

The graphics are mediocre and the noise that blue thing makes is both squeaky and creepy. Most marble poppers are sort of the same, it's the graphics that make them stand out. I think this was one of those "it's on sale and I need to finish out my punch card" purchases. Not even really worth the $2.99.
I don't recommend this game.
