I played through 40 levels, that would seem like a standard amount on a standard game, but there are supposed to be 15 bonus levels in the Collector's edition. I didn't see them anywhere, the game did not advance after 40. As far as the rest of the gameplay, it was just ok.

This goes beyond just a resource gathering game, there are many items you need to get in order to obtain other items, food exchanged for gold to buy necessary equipment etc.
The "puzzle" pieces are an array of exotic fruits to make a tiki drink. If you play the timed version there is definitely a challenge element.

I love how you get dropped down into the map instead of seeing it from above. Yes, there was a little bit of a learning curve but definitely worth it.
I so hope they continue with this format and come out with another quickly. I was very sad to see it end. It did kind of remind me of the Adelantado games which I also love.
I've enjoyed all the others, this was no exception. I'm curious to know if anyone has finished the entire thing, were you able to get past 36? I've also contacted support due to the first piece of food you pick up not going away and then not allowing you to advance through the level.
Out of all the Gnomes games this was my favorite. I thought the overall look of it seemed freshened up from previous versions, I like the hidden characters and the additional 10 levels that wasn't apparent to me until I finished level 49. It was fairly easy to beat levels with three stars consistently so the challenge level was low but great way to pass the time.
