Great game playing two characters. The Mr is on the farm, collecting and selling produce and also fixing the farm up. Mixture of hidden object where you either collect a list of items or a number of the same objects. You can choose to use a hint if stuck or click on the object name to get a shadow. There is an element of time management when it comes to selling the produce. The Mrs is off investigating and again the HO's are collecting by list or number. Puzzles are thrown in which are fun.
Graphics are clear. Music is ok. No voiceover.
I am certainly having fun with this one and have played in excess of 3 hours so far.
No scary bits so maybe that's why so many are recommending it for the kids? LOL - I must just be a big kid at heart and there's nowt wrong with that!
This review is based on the demo which lasted 34 minutes and took me into Chapter 2. There are 4 chapters. Looking at the walkthrough purely to judge length, I was a third of the way through the game so overall game length 2 hours? There are no standard HO scenes i.e. no lists - you find 12 of this or 12 of that. Lots of interactivity between scenes and lots of mini games/puzzles. Voiceovers started off a bit jerky as did game play but seemed to settle down. Overally a good game but I'm wondering how much of the CE was cut away to make this such a short game. A definite buy if I can ever get it at a sale price but IMO just too short to pay full price.
I recommend this game!

Mary Kay Andrews: The Fixer Upper
Small town living isn’t what Dempsey Killebrew, a DC girl, is used to but this chore may just become a labor of love!
Lasted 18 minutes of demo. Skipped all the dialogue - too much! The HO's were a mix of word list and shadows. Extra hints can be earned by finding a specific item in each scene. The removing of lint and wallpaper and then re-wallpapering was boring. I held out for the 18 mins waiting for one of the advertised "manic puzzles" until I realised that the hated removing of lint and wallpaper were the "manic puzzles". I desperately wanted to like this game. I've got nothing to play and have resorted to replaying all my old games including the ones I bought on CD before joining BF. I wish I could like other genres but I don't. HOPA's are all I play. It might be time to go back to my Facebook Farmville Farm which I abandoned in favour of BF over a year ago
This game started off with a lot of promise apart from the music / background sounds which became irrating. That wasn't a problem as I would just simply turn the sound off.
Graphics were brilliant.
Clear hidden object scenes which were not cluttered, with some items hard to find which is a challenge I like.
The other aspect is finding a collection of items to obtain an inventory item you need. This again is something I like.
Some unique puzzles and some variation on the common ones.
This was a definite buy for me until...
What totally put me off was what happened when she left the house. Whilst I am not an expert player and cannot play games in hardcore mode, I was overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of lots of sparkles and arrows all over the screen. Whether this had happened in the house and I hadn't realised I am not sure but it certainly hit me in the face later and I could no longer carry one.
No buy for me but I will recommend the game because what bothers me might not bother you.
Brilliant game. Loved the HO's and puzzles/mini-games. Some had me scratching my head but worked them out eventually. Never ever read journals but this one insisted i did so to figure some puzzles out. Might have reformed me as I enjoyed reading through the journal. What spoiled it for me was the change of accents in the characters and ultimately when Viggo/Vincent explained how he met Christine/Carolina. He told it different to how it was told in Asylum Conspiracy. That said, it was just a little annoying as the game itself was brilliant. I'm off to play part 3.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Hidden Object Game. It is a straight HOG with a few puzzles thrown in (the same ones repeated). You do revisit scenes and sometimes you have to find the same items as previously but none of that ever bothers me in a game. I've played it right through on relaxed mode and I'm looking forward to replaying it in timed mode.
I'm really not sure what the reasoning is behind having to find all of the fingerprints as you don't seem to benefit from doing this - although this added extra bit of play is always a bonus for me anyway.
It doesn't tell you, and I didn't realise until half way through the game, that there was something else you could look for, for which you did earn extra hints if needed.
This review is based on the demo which took me 54 minutes to complete.
Graphics were great and voiceovers start off a bit shaky IMO but do improve. There are a variety of sound options so that you can choose between a level of voiceovers, background, music etc. and there are three levels of play. This is based on the easy mode.
The screenshots for the game and also the description would have you believe this is a straight HOG but that is not the case. One HO scene in the demo needed an item from the inventory before you could complete it so hopefully more interaction to come. No HO scenes were replayed in the demo.
There was a great pipe puzzle which I hadn't come across before so looking forward to more new puzzles along the way.
Checked the walkthrough for approx length and the demo is the whole of the first chapter. There are four chapters in all and each look to be a decent length so approx game length about 4 hours.
Cannot comment on journal as I didn't look at it and nor can I comment on hint / skip recharge.
Great puzzle adventure game but the missing element for me was the lack of hidden object scenes. The inventory items are hidden but I was expecting some actual hidden object scenes. None in the demo. I'm on the fence with this one and will maybe wait until there is a walkthrough so I can check out the content of the rest of the game. I will recommend the game because the love HO's is just a personal preference but otherwise the game was great.
I recommend this game!

Coyote's Tale: Fire and Water
Two sisters are about to go on the strangest vacation of their lives. Mischievous Aztec gods strive to make life a little more difficult.
Thoroughly enjoyed playing the demo for this game and it is a buy for me. Narration can be a bit cheesy. Great game for young and old because of the choice of working between word list and picture, and the puzzles are ok but tend to lean towards being too easy - great fun nonetheless. Great hint system. Be sure to listen / read everything at the beginning and first few HO's otherwise you may miss being told about something extra to look for. If you don't like a lot of HO's then this game is not for you.
I was thoroughly enjoying the demo but was disappointed that I finished in easy mode 20 mins. No skipping, no hints. I checked the walkthrough for length and was disappointed to note the remaining game play. 1 hour 30 mins approx? Sorry but I am not even sure I'd pay DD prices for such a short game. There was lots of potential to make this game great but it's just not worth any money for the length. My ratings are given on the demo which really was great and I'll recommend the game even if it is just to demo something different.
