I'm not a fan of HOG's. The few I have enjoyed either came from this series, MCF or Azada. But thoroughly enjoyed this entire game. The hogs are extremely interactive. not mindless junk piles, which I DETEST. They had some great ones where you have to complete them in order, each bit unlocks the next. and there where even some small puzzles in the HOG. Thoroughly recomend
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
I really tried to love this one. I saw it on the best of 2014 and gave it a go. But struggled to finish it, despite the beautiful music, story and excellent story. It was just way to easy. I didn't feel challenged at all. I chose to do it on the harder level, but still felt like I was hand held the entire way through. I absolutely hated the HOS where it showed you what to pick or the one where it gave you one item at a time to find. This could of been a truly excellent game if it were just a little harder
I really enjoyed playing this game. It's visually stunning and the story is captivating. The puzzles were on the easy side. and I can see children loving this one, and not having much of a problem. So I played this when I didn't feel like putting much brain power into a game. I bought the second as well as I wanted to know whats next.
I've played all of the MCF games, and loved them all except one. But this one was a bit lack lustre. There's a lot of back and forth so you don't really feel like your advancing much. Also towards the end there's this whole new character that shows up, turns out to be vital. But it feels like it comes out of no where and in one scene he has nor memory and then voila suddenly knows who he is. Kinda spoilt the ending for me. I played the collectors edition but didn't feel it was worth the extra $7
The story had me on the edge of my seat. I'm an avid reader and love a good story line. There are some inconsistencies in this, with the time line being especially murky. Like it seemed to change with every new clue. But I was still riveted, and found myself trying to rush through puzzles just to get to the next clue note. I didn't realize it was part of a series though so was disappointed when it came to an end. Looking forward to the next one but can't find a release date. The collectors edition is necessary I feel as it releases more information
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
I love the mystery case file games, even though there are hidden object scenes which I detest. But this one was straight up terrible. It only had a couple of puzzles. It was either moving around your doing a jigsaw like picture puzzle. The acting was terrible. It was hard to see things as it was all in grey/green colour. I made myself finish it, then deleted it straight away. Definitely do not recommend this game
I loved this game because it had more puzzles and less hidden object scenes. The visuals were great, and the story tied into previous mystery case file games. I used the hint button just to move around. In previous MCF games I hated the back and forth so really loved I could skip that in this game. Just all around impressed with this game
I recommend this game!

I thought this was a great adventure game. There was a great range of puzzles that were just hard enough, without being hair pulling. I really enjoyed the story and thought it was well thought out. And left it open for a sequel. Some of the puzzles I felt didn't have enough instructions. So I would have to go into the walkthrough just to find out what I was supposed to be doing. And I did find that annoying. But all in all I thought this was a great adventure game.
Rescue a young girl from the Penumbra Motel. Solve puzzles, unravel a long standing mystery of death and disappearances in this heart-pounding adventure game!
I really loved this game up until the ending. It had a good selection of puzzles. that progressed to harder puzzles. I found the storyline line to be a bit of a mystery suspense. And I loved how creepy/ thriller movie the whole game was. But the ending did not come together. I'm still scratching my head after an hour trying to figure out what happened. Who killed who? Was that his daughter or someone elses? Who was the guy at the end? Is the dog dead? I mean is red ead.
