I've played and enjoyed all of the Aveyond games but this has been my favorite. Although I just finished it, I'm playing it for a 3rd time and I NEVER play the same game over again right after I've finished it. I missed a few things and now I want to enjoy it even more by finding them. Boyle and his cohorts travel all over completing challenges to move them closer to their goal. The dialogue is actually funny and the challenges are easy to understand. The only drawback is there is no map. Once you're in an area you might wander around for a while trying to find your way back out. I ignored everyone's advice and bought the strategy guide when BigFish had games at half price. Not a good buy. I checked online when I was stuck and there are several forums that are helpful. If you like this type of game then you'll really enjoy Shadow of the Mist. Now I've got to get back to the game!
I had fun with this game. You have to build structures that provide resources in order to meet your goals. Sometimes I had to try several times to finish within time but I managed to do it. Not an overly-long game but long enough to be fun. If you like TM games like Roads of Rome, I think you'll like this one.
The premise of the game is cute and I enjoyed the game, for the most part. I got really tired of click, click, click to get to where I was going and not being able to click ahead. You have to wait until he's done with one action before you can move to the next action. Time runs out fast so you have to click him home before the ghosts get him - click, click, click to get home. Click, click, click to find a grave sight. I love TM games but this one was just a little too tedious to hold my attention for long.
I love RPG's and this is my favorite! I get tired of games where there are constant battles that can't be avoided. I usually have to find something else to do at the same time until I can get away or reach my goal - battling with my left hand (enter, right arrow, arrow down, enter, enter and so on) and playing on my iPad with my right hand. This game is challenging but not because you have to try to stay awake while battling umpteen monsters. You can usually avoid them when you want and challenge when you need to raise your HP. It makes you think but not so hard you pull your hair out. It's just total fun. When I started playing, I was delighted because it seemed to me that finally someone figured out what has been so annoying about so many RPG's available these days!
I can't imagine why anyone would give this game fewer than 5 stars. If you like RPG's, you'll love this game!
