Normally I love games like this. I really looked forward to playing, until I got to the 3rd or 4th level & couldn't find the fire place. No instructions/clues & by the time I finished clicking everywhere I could think of & finally finding it, the timer was up.
It would have been a much better game had the dev let us have a relaxed mode, stack orders & gave a bit better instructions. I've played a ton of these games & for me not to be able to find something so simple is just unacceptable.
Good try, but go back to the drawing board & tweak it a bit more.
When a bolt of lightning sends you back to the days of King Arthur, you trade in your farmer's hat for a suit of armor and set off on a journey to find the Fountain of Youth!

When I saw all the 4 & 5 star reviews I was very excited to play this game.
From the first moment of play it is just goofy. The storyline is plain awful & needed some cleaning up in order for it to make sense.
The tasks got a bit monotonous after a few levels & it never seemed like you were really accomplishing anything in the game. Just level after level of the same thing.
I didn't even finish the trial, which is unusual for me as I like to give a game a fair shake. But this one is just awful.

I've played all the Diner Dash type of games & never usually make it all the way because it's just too hard. This game was great! It is challenging but not frustratingly so.
Nice graphics & sound adds to it's charm, along with a cute story line. Great game to play around Halloween or any time.
I didn't even finish the trial before I bought it. I was lucky to find this as it seems everything is now HOG & is getting very tiring.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

For those thinking of trying the game, heed the warning that is given. It deals with a subject matter that may well make some uncomfortable. It's not a "guts & gore" type of thing, it's more of a psychological type of unsettling, but something that is all too real in life as well. That's what makes it even more unsettling.
I have all the MCF games & have been a huge fan for years. This one is a bit different, but I found it refreshing & intriguing. A LOT of thought & talent went into this game & it shows. The Morphing Objects is a change from a regular HOG, which I liked. Not sure I'd want all the games to go this way, but it was a nice change of pace.
The story line really has you feeling pulled both ways, for & against the main character.
The *only* thing I was a bit disappointed in was that some of the play/puzzles were a bit too hard for me. I had to rely on the walkthrough a few times only to realize I had skipped a section & didn't even know it.
So a bit more direction to keep us on track would have been very helpful. Overall this was an amazing game & I would recommend it to anyone who loves MCF & psychological mysteries. Not so much to kids or even teens.
