I would really love to like this game, but even on easy you are not allowed to go back and look for hidden scrolls and stuff after you save everyone. There is no help in the forums, the walk through is good for the story line but if you want to get everything is little help.
I love these games and own every ones so far, but I find that I miss having the count actually talking during the game that we had in the first few games. You need to bring him back especially at the times when you just have to read part of the story!

Love the games and story that all the Mystery Case File games give you especially if you have followed from the beginning.. My only issue is that since they were sold to Epic it seems the the graphics and visual quality of the games have gone down hill. Would love to see the better graphics that these great games once had as compared to the last few that have come out.

Sometimes it hard to find a match 3 that has a good story to counter the number of them out there. Cute, fun, and at times challenging if you are like me and need 3 stars on every level.

I don't usually do reviews but I love match three games and when I saw this had more in it I instantly downloaded it. Just from the main screen I was not liking the game and I hadn't even started it.
The graphics on the game are a very poor quality. When you fist enter the main page you will notice that the graphics are not sharp and clean looking ... it doesn't get better
The main story may be ok but you are not given enough time to really read what the character is saying before it moves one. Nor is there audio of what is being said in case you can't read that fast.
The game play on the first two levels is like your standard match three, But I found the tutorial gets in the way and you don't even complete level 1 before it moves you on.

The first thing I noticed was that the graphics are very poor. They are not the crisp images you want to have in a HO.
The second was that while the story line was ok it did not catch my attention from the start.
While there is a notebook it does not help you in the least. All it does is retell the story so far. Make sure to have paper and a pencil to keep tracks of things you need later for a puzzle.
I only made it through the demo for about 15 min tops if that. This is one that looks to have potential but I am definitely not getting.

While this game gives you some helpful features like a map and journal the overall game was not great. I quit playing before 30min was even up. If you are really into HO games this is not for you. If you are a beginner then it is fine.

As far as game graphics went the game was good and the story line was easy to follow during the trial. There were definitely some things that made the whole experience poor. The first issue was very slow loading. while the graphics are good you start to wonder if the game is running while still loading. The second was that I was unable to find a journal or book that keeps track of important information you find through the game. The upside to that is that if you love to play the HO games on insane then that is a feature you may like.
