this entire series seems to go downhill with each new release. the "time management" concept has been been removed from your (the player) control to you being stuck just watching yet another character perform an unnecessary task eating up your time on the clock. why does it take a bird valuable seconds to sit in front of an egg and just poke or peck at it before flying it back somewhere. and never mind the ridiculous gremlin that had more and more "building" to do. This latest release has seemingly removed the ability to see what inventory you need (what's left, not what the total cost is) - what a step backwards, are we back a the first version again? This is the last "New Yankee" I'll buy - I said that two versions ago and yet I keep "giving it one more try" No thanks, won't fool me again - This use to be my favorite series, now it's just no longer fun
didn't like this one as much as all the others, a real let-down. They've made some changes in game-play, can no longer click on an items and have it tell you how much more you need (ie: 20 more gold) instead it only shows the total needed (the old hover behavior) The added 'enemies' are just stupid, for lack of a better word - really... is that a paper bag we're supposed to battle? enough, make it better, not more ridiculous. and is there anything worst than just standing around with no tasks waiting for the gremlin or for magic to work at the end of a level. Having many enemies and only one swordsman is annoying also, listening to the grunt while he runs all over the place is tiring when I've got 5+ men who just sit and watch. did not enjoy the whole "workshop" concept. all in all, I enjoy the New Yankee series, but this edition seemed to far off the mark
