I liked the other Puppet Show games but this one is truly awful. All of the story lines have been strange, to say the least, but this one is beyond my tolerance. Couldn't even get through the demo. Definite no for me.

I love this type of puzzle, usually called a nonogram. However, I found this one to be very hard on my eyes because of all the different colors. And it's difficult to see which squares have been x'd out or not. There's also a basic problem with some games of this type (in this game and in others) in that you should never have to "guess" -- there should always be a correct solution, logically and mathematically.

I'll keep this short: based on the demo, this game is mediocre at best. Definitely not as interesting or challenging as past Redemption Cemetery games. While the graphics are quite good, the story line is boring. And everything is decorated for Christmas (when the CE was released), which makes it rather irrelevant now that we're at the end of January. There's nothing new or challenging about any of the puzzles or HOGS -- and there's a clunkiness about the game play. I usually get Redemption Cemetery games as soon as the SE becomes available, but I'm passing on this one.
I'm buying this game because I love TM games and it's on sale today. Not sure I'd pay the full price but it's worth $3.49. That said, this game is your typical TM (Save the Princess, Northern Tales etc) but not quite as good. The characters are cute and it has some nice features, especially the "automatic resource collection" boost and catching "evil" characters doing things they shouldn't be doing, as well as easily accessible strategy guide for each level. On the flip side, I've noticed that sometimes the inventory boxes hide important features, like a gold mine, or a character stands in front of something you need to click; and -- this always bugs me -- there are spelling errors and the dialogue doesn't always make sense. I apreciate the translation process, but these things should still be checked before release. The graphics are rather ordinary but still cute. If you really love TM games, you'll enjoy this one. But buy it today!
This is a simple version of nonograms, similar to the popular "World Mosaics 1-7" series. You have to figure out which squares to check in the various rows and columns. It has a Halloween theme. If you really like this type of puzzle, you'll get some enjoyment from it. However, it was sometimes hard to see if I had made a mistake; I was forced to guess at times so not a true nonogram; and when I left the game and tried to return, couldn't easily find where I had stopped. I wouldn't pay full price for it -- will wait for the next sale.

Have tried several times, but can't even get the game to work. I get a full screen with some colors on it, and I can hear the background music, but no words or pictures appear. After a couple of minutes I just gave up. I never have problems downloading Big Fish games, so I don't think it's my system.
Pretty good TM game; can play in timed or relaxed mode. While prospecting for gold, there's lots of chopping, fishing, building, mining and trading going on. After the first few levels, the tasks get more challenging and are harder to complete on time. In the timed format, you get 3, 2 or just 1 gold star for completing each level. Then you can use the stars to purchase improvements for the town. However, I was given an opportunity to do that after the very 1st level, didn't really pay attention to it, and now can't get back to it. After 15 minutes I turned down the volume because the voice-overs were bugging me. Also found that sometimes I had to click a few times to get something to work. Overall, it looked fun and challenging. Compared to other TM games that just came out on BF, I like Moai better; but prefer this one over Druid Kingdom.

I only played the demo, which took about 30 minutes, but am hooked. Puzzles are challenging without being impossible. Hidden object scenes are creative. Storyline so far is interesting. I like having to switch between two timelines and remembering where certain objects and puzzles are located. I recommend you give this one a try! BTW, I did not try the CE as I generally don't think they are ever worth the price (with very few exceptions), so can't comment on differences between the CE and this SE.

If you really love and/or are addicted to TM games, then you'll probably want this one. It is very similar to My Kingdom for the Princess, Legends of Atlantis, and Roads of Rome games -- but not as good. I thought the narrative was clunky and wished the characters would stop talking so I could play the game!! Instructions are a bit lacking and characters as well as story not very compelling. Still, it is a TM game with fairly challenging levels. As noted by a couple of other reviewers, I didn't find a "relaxed" option. Haven't yet pulled the trigger to buy, but probably will if nothing more interesting comes out in the next week.
