This is a lovely game set. I have just one wish for the creators--that I could have the option, after completing both full game formats--to play round after round of the delightfully different minis. I love those so much, especially the tiling and matching. As secondaries they are different yet so complimentary to the primary mah jong formats. Sigh. Maybe next time? If you like this game you may also like the predecessor. I did!

I love this gorgeous game. Not fond of terrible dark evil monsters, these pirates won't keep me awake with nightmares. Music and sound effects are the best ever, truly perfectly attuned to the play and overall design. I swear I smell salt sea air with every 'splash' effect. Solitaire is such a straightforward game it's hard to imagine one being immensely more enjoyable than another, but AnaWiki have scored in that, big time. Some rounds are easy, others you may repeat and repeat until you feel like one of the pirates who's been lashed to the deck in a storm ... hang on and keep firing, buy lots and lots of cannonballs and you, too, will prevail! Some games have pop-up minis that are intrusive but in Seven Seas these are a fun momentary refreshment, a joy, a pleasant diversion, here and done in an instant and often lining your pockets with more doubloons (hint: buy more cannonballs!) Not sure why but my first time through (almost complete) I've hardly bothered to buy power-ups at all, rather invested my booty in cannonballs which I seem to need in endless supply to triumph. Whatever works to get us to the end, aye, matey? Sail on, you'll love this ride!

This is a lovely, straightforward, appealing M3 game suited to adults fond of the genre and to kids/families. Dogs feature and numerous endearing "painted" portraits serve as backgrounds. The games themselves are standard, work very smoothly, have cute icons suited to the canine theme. The jigsaw puzzles are a pleasant interlude between levels. If you are a parent introducing a youngster to M3, note that the "group" mode of play goes smashing fast and would delight any child who finds the traditional "swap" and "chain" modes a bit tedious to master. Lovely game overall. I'm not big on story lines so I skip through those pretty much ... they are fine, just not the part of the fun I'm after. Buy it, you'll be happy and may just find yourself at the local shelter adopting a pooch to share your family's home.

Stunningly beautiful graphics and appropriate music that changes often enough to prevent ever hitting the mute. Charming in all respects and true to the sense of the Camelot tales. I spent the early levels building the kingdom so did not attain powerups until far along, and in that it was a steep, hard climb, but I loved every hand no matter how many repeats it took. This is the sort of board game you live and hope and dream for and it will entertain me for a long time to come. I love this game!

Have to admit I bought this on a whim because I had finished my previous fave solitaire and was hungry for something new. This was very different but I ended up liking it much more than I did at the beginning. Downers at the start for me were that the game is less lenient than other solitaires, but the flip side is that the challenge is exceptional, especially at the beginning where you really have to work to gain the needed perks to survive each level. Critical power ups cost a fortune so they may have you replaying levels to build capital to gain key survival tools. I wish the music, or some variation of it, was played throughout the game rather than just at the opening. Story line is inconsequential; it's there to enjoy if you want to read, easy to skip if you are so addicted to solitaire that you let nothing interfere with your progress. I do wish that you could opt to replay individual (failed) hands rather than have to repeat an entire level, but other solitaire games impose that restriction, too, so ... <shrug>. About persistence--I replayed until I advanced through to the end but it took some work! In the end, I enjoyed this enough that I'm going to buy the sequel which looks more advanced and lush in design. Sorry to shave one star, but I think I'll save the 5th for the sequel!

My initial review was totally strong, I enjoyed this game immensely. However, at the end it seems the developers could so easily have included some little extra reward for finding all 60 old guitars ... perhaps grandpa serenading us with an additional lovely short song. Having gone through the entire game twice to be sure I had not clicked through such an option, I am left with a small sense of gee, what's the point of collecting all 60 guitars if there's no reward for the achievement? I still like the game, my first played in the series. Aww, go on, play me a little tune :-(((
I have enjoyed three other (non-solitaire) games from Grey Alien and love them all but this one hits new heights of charming story and lovely, lovely graphics. I enjoy the simple romantic story and would buy a sequel, perhaps Bella and Henry's wedding and who knows, a family? travel adventures? I'll be happy to own and play more games from the talented Grey Alien designers, any day.
When you change your player name to restart and play through the entire game again and again, you know you've got a goody. Buy and play and enjoy this game!
Artistry is lovely and appealing everywhere, sounds and music are subtle yet entrancing, no interference in play from acoustics, just added pleasure. Fun bonus interludes pop up often in the midst of a level for surprise bits of fun. Only reason I did not give high fives across the board is that I guess I have become expert at match 3 so none of them seems challenging to me, yet I continue to love them. Only through first stage of 10 levels and a bit at this review so that may change. I bet you'll fancy this lovely game concoction. I do!
Thank the stars for reviewers who tell it like it is, for the several I read sent me running to try this game and I would have missed it if not for their delighted reviews. This game is indeed lovely in all respects and novelties like the six-sided board moves make game-play zany, fresh, quite enjoyable. I hope there are more gems from this team, with this game they have set a high benchmark to surpass. Buy this game!
Charming story and characters; finely wrought designs/ artistry throughout, even the glossy game-piece icons look scrumptious. If they were candy I'd have a toothache! Two special high points for me ... seaside sounds mesh perfectly with the island theme, and I love-love-love being able to clear the gameboard from every scene just to enjoy viewing the scene for a few minutes (use the 'eye' icon upper L corner) then return to gameplay. Very nice in all respects and as well suited to first timers as to old timers who love M3s. Highest recommendations on this one from me.
