When I first attempted this game (several times), I hated it. I didn't understand what I was supposed to do. It actually sat on my desktop for weeks after first attempts, totally ignored (hating it every time I saw the icon for the game).
Then, after playing several other games previously completed, I got bored and decided to give this game another chance. I am happy I did!!
I will be the first to admit that this was very confusing to understand. I actually had to go watch on that video site to get an understanding on how to proceed. So, I will concede the developers could have given more guidance to users.
After I grasped how to proceed, I found myself addicted to this game. As the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. If you give this game a chance, I believe you will come to enjoy as did I.

I have enjoyed this series from the beginning. It truly is one of the most challenging of time management games. This one doesn't disappoint.
I am a bit surprised at the number of lower ratings on this release. This series has always been very challenging, which in my opinion, makes it worth the money. While I enjoy easier TM games, I enjoy this series because of the level of thought that went into developing the game.
That said, this new episode has the usual gather, chop, bridges, etc. I sometimes take the time to look at the backgrounds of each level. A little fox and penguin usually appear; if you click on the fox, it makes a squeaky noise, and the penguin will flap its 'arms'.
Looking for the hidden objects is really a challenge, but again, this is one of things I enjoy about this series. Is it frustrating at times? Yep. But, once found, it is a satisfying accomplishment (I have surprised my husband when I throw my arms up in a victory celebration...lol).
I usually play TM games in expert mode, but I play Roads in normal mode. I cannot imagine how one would get gold on each level at expert mode. Once I finish this in normal mode, I will then attempt in expert.
If you like time management games with a challenge, I believe you will find this game fun.

What a great surprise to open Big Fish and see another New Yankee game!! Love this series, and this one does not disappoint!
Almost from the beginning, the challenge is evident. I always play expert mode, so I expect more of a challenge. This new episode delivers, but not to the extreme point where I want to just accept a silver star. Love the challenge!
The humor found in earlier releases continues with this new release. I enjoy reading the back and forth between the characters.
I look forward to continuing my journey through this episode. I have no doubt that I will play it over and over as I have previous New Yankee games. Love this!

I have enjoyed Art by Numbers since the first release. I found them relaxing, taking me away from the stress of the day.
While I still like completing the colorful pictures, the last few releases have not been as relaxing as the earlier versions. I say this because, as a previous poster said, there are so many miniscule dots, lines, etc., that it takes away from the enjoyment of completing the picture.
I always try to finish the pictures without using a hint. Now, I find I have to use the hint more and more. I would like the developers to go back to earlier versions and see how the pictures could still be somewhat challenging without making it almost impossible to complete without using the hint.
All that said, I still enjoy Art by Numbers and look forward to the next release.

What a wonderful surprise to see one of my favorite time management games! This one does not disappoint. Starts out easy and the level of challenge becomes more difficult as one moves through the levels.
Rescue Team series is one of my favorites, so I was excited to see it as a BFG of the day! I didn't even try it before purchasing as I have never been disappointed with Rescue Team. And, once again, I am not disappointed.
The challenge is there, especially for those who love this type of game. I had to replay a number of levels in order to get 3 stars, but the challenge is not so great as to be frustrating. Of course, the further into the game one gets, the more challenging it becomes.
I do look at the scenery while playing and noticed these little characters popping out of the ground and going back down. How clever! I just love things like this thrown in by developers. It surprises me as just developing the game play itself has to be challenging. So, kudos for the little surprises.
If time management is your type of game, I believe you will enjoy the latest escapades of the team.

I love the Art by Numbers series, so was very happy to see the new version. The colors and pictures are far superior to others in this genre. I find Art by Numbers to be very relaxing.
And, when I'm finished with this and earlier versions, I play them again and again as an escape from everyday stress.
I agree with pennmom that this is the best of the best. And, I love her in-depth analysis of this type of game and any others she see fits to write about. I don't always agree with her, but I respect her opinions. I wish I could be as descriptive as she is. So, hopefully, will see her analysis on this latest version soon.
I was really excited to see this appear on BFG. It is one of the many time management games that I look forward to play. And, this one doesn't disappoint.
As any good TMG, it starts off less challenging, but boy, does it make up for it later! The hidden objects at first are easy to spot, and even in some of the later levels, but many times, I have had to resort to the strategy guide to determine where they are hidden.
The guide has videos of each level to assist if one cannot determine the correct strategy. However, on one of the levels, the video didn't help at all. At least not for the 3-4 minutes I watched. It just kept repeating the same moves without moving to the next step. Maybe that is there strategy to get the gold, but I got tired of watching. I finally just went back to the game, and figured out the correct strategy for gold status.
One of the silly things I like to do on each level is click on the animals/birds. Each will make a sound and move. There is a crab, that if clicked on, will bury itself in the sand. And, a star fish will lift up its "arms". I know I love to mention developers of these games, but to me, it is amazing all the steps and nuances when creating these games (if this, then that). Kuddos to the developers for adding the cute animals and actions :)
I find the challenge of this game to be spot on. Starts less challenging but becomes very challenging in later levels. Some are so challenging, I had to resort to the video guide after numerous attempts to figure it out the strategy (exception was the level mentioned above).
So far, I am really enjoying this game! I highly recommend it! So, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to tackle the next level!

I used to really like these games as I found them relaxing. I enjoy not having to be contently challenging my brain, so I go to this type of game to chill.
That said, I have noticed with this developer, while providing different pictures, there are more pictures with boring browns, grays, muted shades of orange. There are so many wonderful, colorful pictures they could use, but they always go to depressing city skylines, lions, tigers and bears (oh my!), misty, colorless landscapes.
I will be hesitant to purchase another game from this developer because of the lack of color. Art by Numbers at least gives us colorful abstracts and pictures. Hope the developer sees this critique and livens up the colors in the next installment.
I have been waiting for what seems like a very long time for the next installation of Incredible Dracula as this series is one of my all time favorite TMG! And, once again, I am not disappointed.
While this edition is similar to previous games, there is no shortage of fun and challenge. I originally tried the easy level, but it was way too easy. Switched to Expert, and the challenge was on. Have had to play several levels numerous times in order to determine the strategy to obtain 3 stars. To be honest, the "strategy guide" is not too helpful, but does assist in giving a better plan to reach 3 stars.
The same characters are in this game, and a couple new enemies. Game play is basically the same (build, gather, etc.). And, of course, the silly and humorous storyline is in place. All of this and more are reasons I truly enjoy Incredible Dracula.
There are two buttons that identify as Treasure and Documents. It is not until well into the game that they become active and explain their purpose (for Treasure, one has to find 128 treasures and then place them in correct order); for Documents one has to find 5 throughout the game to complete (I didn't find the first document until sometime in level 20 or above.)
I love the challenge of the game. I have said before that a TMG should not be easy, especially in Expert mode. Incredible Dracula never disappoints in the challenge arena, sometimes to the point of frustration. However, if one sticks it out, it is quite satisfying to finally get that 3rd star!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have more levels to finish which will bitter sweet because it will mean I have to wait for the next edition!
