I was beta testing this game so my review is based on that. I did not play it long even in beta as there were technical glitches but actually I did not mind it at all and decided not to purchase this game. The concept of this game is highly political and is not just the imagination of the mind but rather very real. It reminds me of how life was during the cold war in the communist countries, maybe that was on purpose when the devs created the storyline. However, the subject is not fun, sorry to say but I practically experienced the situation in real life and felt offended by the game. This is something every East-European wants to leave behind his or her back and I can say that this is all now history even in the post-communist countries. Why to bring it up again, especially in a leisure computer game? The atmosphere of the game is very depressing, just like it was in real life.

My review is based on beta testing, however I was the lucky one to be selected into two rounds of testing. After the first round my opinion was that there had been a big potential in this game presuming that the faults and glitches get patched and corrected. The game was really raw, so I had a lot of comments when evaluating. Then I received a second invitation for testing and was happy to see that my suggestions were taken seriously and the game was improved accordingly. Of course technical flawlessness is just one thing but even with that I found this game very challenging. Maybe too challenging. It may seem a kids' game for the first time but one must have a bright brain to figure out how to solve certain situations to be able to move on (in the second round of testing the game was extended with a strategy guide). Yes, the graphic design is very similar to the Drawn series (probably not just by chance, same devs :-) ) I think this is a very fun game, not a typical HOPA, rather a mixture of adventure and brain teaser. Even if you are not a dog lover, you will still enjoy it :-).

It's funny because I beta tested this game just 2 days ago and now it is already out. Probably I fell into the last group of testers before release. Although I gave good evaluation of the game when testing, I do agree with other reviewers that the game does not offer any extraordinary features you have not experienced before, if you are a regular HOPA player. However, puzzles are a challenge and of course graphics, visual and sound effects are outstanding. As I truly hate phantasy/fairy tale games, the story line was like fresh air to me, really adult stuff. Unfortunately there are not too many of this kind recently, so I really valued it. Sure, the wow effect is missing but still it is a nice decent game worth the buy.

Guys, if you love the Delicious sequel, most probably you are going to like this game, too. Now Emily's sister is back but this time the story is about fashion and selling and creating cloths and both storyline and fun factor are outstanding. We can follow Angela's rise from a dept. store sales person to a valued designer. As it is very easy to immerse in this game, prepare for long hours of play. As always with this dev, graphics are high quality and the characters are very likeable. Fabulous is also a sequel and I hope BGF is going to bring all parts to us.
I recommend this game!

This is a classic HOPA without the special features built into the HOPA games recently. I gave 4 stars because of the missing 'wow' effect but actually this game is quite enjoyable if you don't mind to play the old fashioned way. What the real strength of this game are the beautiful graphics (also old fashioned hand drawn graphics but very detailed and real looking, I really enjoyed it) and the complex puzzles. Puzzles are not easy even if you set the game to casual, you have to use your brains, so if you are the lazy type of thinker, this is not for you. Overall, this game is a great fun. If you have a coupon code, it is a treasure but if you pay for it, it is worth the buy.
I recommend this game!

I have to admit I never make reviews, although I do rely on other members' opinion when selecting games to buy, so I think it is time to contribute. The MCF series was always one of my favourites as they met all expectations towards a great game: visuals, story line, length, the complexity of puzzles, fun factor and achievements. And this one is a real treasue. What really captured me besides the excellent graphics and music was the unbelievably creative and fun puzzles and also the rich variety of difficulty levels. There are 5-6 different difficulty levels and depending on which one you choose, it will influence the hardness of the puzzles. There is an interactive map but the Hint button also teleports you to the scene where action is needed. I am actually not even close to finishing the game but it totally amazed me with the highly addictive puzzles. I did not once chose to skip a puzzle, rather tried over and over until I could solve it, they are so fun you feel almost obliged to solve them without skipping. Actually, they are not overwhelmingly difficult, so those who don't like to get headaches will probably be happy when playing this game :-). It's just pure fun.
