Other players usually give in-depth, step by step reviews, so I'm just going to tell you two features this game offers that I love...1) In hidden object scenes where you need to pick up one item to use on a second item, the cursor does NOT change into a hand when hovering over the first item so you actually have to find the item and know to pick it up yourself, whereas most other HOG's baby step one through this process. The other most appreciated aspect of this game is that when acquiring an item, the game states what the object is as it lands in your inventory. I find it annoying in most games that I have to stop and highlight the object I've just found to see what it is!
The graphics are appropriate for the storyline, which is interesting. Overall a good game!
This game is a continuation of the series, so if you enjoyed the previous games, you'll love this one also.
To the players experiencing download problems, I was prompted to download the "Microsoft Visual C++" program as part of the game installation, and it runs just fine.
I loved this game! It is an escape room style game so it is a challenge, but they do offer clues for when you get stuck. I did need the assistance of a visual walk through on You Tube (I used Immersive XP) but mostly because I would be short of time or get impatient. This game is stylish, entertaining, and not hugely difficult if you pay attention to the clues.
The only drawback, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is because you can't exit the game until you finish a level. If you do exit partway through, you lose all your progress and have to start just that level over again upon re-entry into the game. That is a big no-no in my book, as time is a precious commodity.
Other than that, I really think this is one of the best games I have played in a long time.
I, for one, enjoy this game. After 30 minutes playing the demo, I am interested enough to purchase the game because the graphics are good and the story line is interesting. It is not overly challenging, but I do not view that as a negative as sometimes I just want to relax and enjoy a game without the frustration that sometimes occurs with HOG (dark lighting, items TOO well hidden as to be invisible, mini-games with unclear instructions, etc.). I hope this is helpful when considering whether to purchase.
I recommend this game!

**My review is based on not being able to change the setting** I was very disappointed in this game because I was expecting it to be a great adventure, but instead found within seconds that sparkles appear on every object that needs to be picked up, and text appears at the bottom of the screen telling you the next step to take. How is this fun? I was basically just clicking where they told me to, no searching or thinking required. I'm not understanding all the great reviews,so again, maybe I'm missing something?

A "Clutter" style game which in my opinion, surpasses the original model on which it is based. The visuals are brighter and more interesting, and therefore easier to see. The storyline is quirky, and as one reviewer mentioned, one-liners. For me this is a plus as I buy a game to play, not read paragraphs of text. Some of the levels were very challenging as that is how I set the game, which kept me entertained trying to "beat the clock." But you don't have to play that way if you want a more relaxing experience.
I am loyal to Joe's Clutter games, but am now an avid fan of Witch's Tales, and hope they come out with more as I will definitely buy them if they keep them true to the original.
I recommend this game!

Catchy music, visually entertaining characters, mentally challenging trying to figure out the breeding combination to more difficult monsters. I stayed away from this game for months thinking it was dorky, but I was completely wrong...I encourage you to try it!

This is a pleasant but very basic home building game. You can move stuff around after placing it by just going back in to the "design" mode, but as others pointed out, you don't get very far in the game before coming to a screeching halt. So either you like it enough to spend/purchase gold coins to instantly "build" items #I do not#, or you have become invested enough in the game to return to it after the minimum 10 minute wait #I am not#. That, I think, was the developer's mistake...not giving players enough time initially to play and become interested enough in the game before having to exit.
I like this Mahjongg better than a lot that are out there except for one thing...I'm not seeing an option to restart the level, and I'm a player who hates to use shuffle, hints, etc. On the plus side, in adventure mode you jump straight into traditional Mahjongg gameplay with no annoying mandatory tutorial, with nice graphics and tiles that just disappear like they're supposed to when clicked. :)

Interesting storyline, great graphics, with HO scenes that had clarity and were not overly difficult. But the best part about this game is that just when I thought I must be getting to the end, a new area would open up! Many hours of entertaining gameplay. :)
