The games graphics are perfect. Top-notch visual &sound quality. Not only that its interesting right from the beginning.
These devs have actually found a way to bring something new and refreshing to HOS adventure games. There is a turning motion now (like a wheel) and some found items have two steps to them (example put item in inventory and then reselect it, before you use it, you have to perform additional task, like a puzzle on the item or break it open with another found object. That was a nice twist.
Best part very few and pretty interactive iHOS
The game feels very spacious with lots of places to explore and things to do. This is a first rate game that was made perfectly. Im trying to think of something negative to say and all I can come up with is the typical early 1800's genure. which usually I'm not crazy about, However, that did not even bother me.
I love every Shiver franchise games out there. This one meets and exceeds the two before.

Wow almost got worried when that first HOS came up, but then, yeah the next two were great fun. While the game is downloading I decided to write this review.
Love the Mexico vibe (time for somthing different) and the map is kinda cool this one dosen't seem to transport, However, when you mouse over each area, it tells you what needs to be done in that location. (not in a do this then this- this way but in a hey just a reminder about the door lock way#
Not where it is located or how to solve/use it.
VO's are kinda hokey-almost campy- but really dosen't take away from the game.
Looks like there are 9 chapters with a bonus one and you collect scorpions along the way for/and with other achievments.
Intergrated SG not sure if follows and the usual guide and hint . BTW stayed in easy mode cuz its in the options area and did not change it, and hit the hint button wow it actually circled the object then circled the area for use and then the black bar said somthing. Talk about hand holding if you like that then this game will make you very happy!

The door eye puzzle was cool too. IMO this game was made for pure fun and relaxed enjoyment. I think it hit the mark, besides, its a win win! Cant beat the price, right now anyway.

Never would have found this hidden little clever game.
Nothing fancy (except the map) Nothing morphing, no hidden extras, However, IMO, This is what makes this game so refreshing right now. Clean, unique, no hand holding (unless you go back to the journal & map) or use the (by the way fast recharge) hint button, music comes on and off with great sound effects that dont take over the game.
Straight HOPA "OLD SCHOOL STYLE" but not a junk-pile mess, just not interactive and fun easy puzzles (sometimes relax play is what your in the mood for)
Really enjoying the simplistic brilliance this game has to offer. If you are looking for the latest & greatest walk away BUT if you can appreciate a smart, funky, slightly off-beat game with subtle perfection this is the game for you Download ASAP and delve into this little number.
Im sure glad I did and I used a credit (free game) SCORE!!!! to boot

I was able to beta test this game and so glad cuz I never really played the dark tales franchise (never knew they had so much animal involvement loved that)
This games has lots of extras and goodies to keep everyone happy from the scales of justice to weigh the facts to your pet kitty(so into it I named mine) in your office where you earn stuff for him/her.
This game grabs you quickly trying to figure out who REALLY is the protagonist (aka villain)
Found items are used logically and HOS are ok( kinda over them at this point)
This game is completely user friendly and would satisfy all level and ages of players.
I usually wait for the SE, however, in this case I think the CE may be worth it. I really loved all the extras.
I just might have to go back and take a second look at the series.

Wow I can't believe the graphics on this game. This dev has really gone far to make a perfect game that plays like a movie- game. Thank-you for this challenging and delightful play.
I recommend this game!
There's a dark force at work in Pilgrim's Hook. Return to your childhood home and save your twin brother from the evil that lives beneath the sea.

Plays perfect, very interactive, map for travel, guide that follows, iHOS are cute and fun, found items used logically, bonus find creatures(sea) for points. Voice over good, graphics semi-real clear (I favor this style) There seems to be a perfect little fun game here.
That being said, not sure if Im biased cuz I love anything Ocean & sea.
Live on water and a diver so I LOVE IT and or itsa a great game.
PS Glad its not a car crash, but you are again looking(saving)a loved one. Easy, fun, and nice flowing game.

Wow! So mad I HAD to write a review. This game had everything I wanted. My style,graphics,storyline, BUT...
It just didnt hit the mark. Something missing (cant put my finger on it SOMETHING) Which is a shame cuz I was so excited to play this game. So much beautiful wasted scenery. This game could have been top 5 of the year if it was a bit more interactive instead of a lovely HOS. I kept wanting to interact with all the cool georgous spooky stuff, BUT NOOOOO!!!! DARN
Never been so dissapointed with a game. I wish the Devs would take it back add some or alot more adventure style, point and click use-found objects (not morphing although lotts of people like that part me included) and you would have a winner. That being said, the action and graphics are perfect.
Oh well, Big fat hairy bummer for me.

Lotts of different kind of areas that flow perfect with the story
Wish it was the CE there is a bonus chapter that seems important to a "Happy Ending"
