This game is almost an exact copy of "Theme Hospital," which was released by Bullfrog in 1997. The sad thing is that the graphics & sound aren't any better and this new game is way less fun. I played through the demo but there isn't much to do other than what the tutorial tells you to do.
I don't recommend this game.

This city is clamping down on candy cravings by outlawing sweet snacks! Solve a series of quirky cases by gathering clues, tracking down witnesses, and questioning suspects to reveal the truth behind this city’s sugarcoated secret. This is a case too sweet to turn down!

I've been playing this game on my iPod for the last 2 months and am thrilled to have it on the computer with a larger picture. I love that you have to actually solve the cases which is unusual (even for a mystery game). I love that you can completely customize how your character looks and the decor of your office. I love the cartoon-y look to the game but I do find the music way too repetitive, which is why I knocked down the score.
I know a lot of people don't like the "freemium" games but I've never felt the urge to spend real money on this game. As you level up you'll earn lots of game cash & candy (especially if you can get 3 stars on the cases on the first try.
I recommend this game!

The Putt-Putt games are great for playing with your 3-5 year olds but older kids and adults will find it way too easy. There are lots of things in the game for them to click on that do things. The animation is cute and so is the story.
I recommend this game!

The story & voice acting were both good, although I didn't think it gave enough backstory at the beginning for those who either didn't play the previous game or didn't remember what happened. There were a bunch of memos, notes, and emails scattered throughout the game for you piece it all together.
Now I do prefer puzzles to hidden object scenes, but the puzzles in The Turning Thorn were some of the most obscure I've run across in a long time. I ended up having to skip about half of them because I either couldn't figure out how to solve them or even what the purpose of the puzzle was (bad descriptions).
I recommend this game!
