Even though the system requirements indicate this game plays with Windows 8 - it most certainly does NOT. Graphics are all messed up
I don't recommend this game.

When I select widescreen on any other game I own (DOZENS), it FILLS my widescreen. This only gives a little larger than a full screen. (filling the sides with black bars).
The music is the same 10 notes over and over and OVER again. I had to turn the music off it was so annoying.

This could have been an amazing game, but there are several things that ruined it for me:
1. The music only plays in 5 second spurts. Who wants to play a silent game?
2. In some HOS, BOWties are listed as NECKties, and a MIRROR was called a LOUPE
3. You can barely see when the pointer turns red and has a gear (indicating action to be taken)
4. In one item needed to further travel, it doesn't tell you that you need 3 of them. (Cogs for the ramp). Every time you find a cog and go to the ramp t place it - you end up learning you need more.

It's great that Bigfish gives the teenager programmers something to do, but if my PC can play the sophisticated Collector Editions with no problems, then the fact that 80% of the background is missing in this game is a clear indicator it's got serious problems.
I don't recommend this game.

I generally only do the trials of Collector editions - but this one had me hooked from the get go. LOVE the level of difficulty, scenes, minigames, etc.
I recommend this game!
