This series is a repeat play for me. The friendly small-town vibe has a definitely sinister undertone that is being revealed in each episode. The quality of these games has not disappointed, a really fun mystery series.
I loved this game. It starts out quirky and develops into a solid mystery that unfolds gradually. The TM levels are challenging (to me at least!) and had some nice variations. The small-town characters made me smile. Can't wait for the next one.
(Spoilers) I have just completed the game and still am not sure what was going on. Why were the townsfolk turned old, i get who and how, but WHY? What good did it do the villain? Why did he try and chain up death if he was so obsessed with her? How did he find out how/what to do? What happened to the man at the end who was strapped in a cage? Did the people get their lives back? Why wasn't the lad affected? I was hoping the bonus would sort out some of these, but nope. Just a really random bit of back story that made not much sense. Also, it is set in Paris, but no one had a French accent. And why was the musician trapped in the organ? So many questions......
I don't recommend this game.

I like adventure HOG type games and magical stories but this is a disappointment. The game starts with a VEEEEERY slow intro then you are on a walkway with a huge gap in it, but you have to get home. The problem I had was the cursor is so big it is slow and very difficult to get it to click on what you want. The hand holding is also constant and unwanted. By the time I was having to mend a mirror with the cursor covering the whole bits of glass so you couldn't marry the edges I was so annoyed I gave up.
I don't recommend this game.

This game starts well with a change from the dark 'trapped in a mental hospital/grave yard/searching for a lost relative' type of story that we see a lot. The hog scenes have story items to find as well as random junk. The mini-games are a bit simple and simplistic but I liked the whole fixing up the house while dealing with the crazy squatter lady scenario.
The main challenge with this game is working out what the heck is going on with the story line. It is random, disjointed and inconsistent. People and situations pop up and then are never mentioned again. The HOGs become repetative quite quickly too. The worst bit is the ending. If you don't mind pottering about and not resolving anything then give this a try. But if you expect ANY of the story threads to be wrapped up then forget it. You don't even get to see the finished house. Big thumbs down!
